Praying for @Sipech and things to go smoothly - moving house is stressful enough with out that. Praying for @Rossweisse and those on the cancer thread and for all on the black dog thread.
Prayers for friend (since 1984) and fomer roommate Mike. At 55 he dropped dead while taking an early jog. Healthy, happy, successful, and a beautiful family. A man of great character and great humour. On receiving the news yesterday I actually felt like vomiting and spent the day in a dense fog, which hasn't quite lifted.
Shocking news out of the blue is the worst -- prayers for you PG, for Mike's family and all who loved him. May his soul rest in peace and rise in glory.
Okay, so this morning Problem Cat bit the Telemum on the arm. She is worried about that bite now; it feels a bit hot and it sure is a nasty one.
Problem Cat was lashing out because, to all appearances, his tail was broken and she was touching him in a painful spot. Turns out his tail is only "misaligned", not broken, but still may have to be amputated in 7-10 days' time?!?
I'd really like this not to have bad consequences for anyone involved. The Telemum is on the phone to 111 now; may she get the right help.
<votive> For Telepath, the Telemum, and the Telecat (seriously? Misaligned?) May all improve dramatically, posthaste.
<votive> For @Pangolin Guerre and for Mike and all who love him

<votive> For Libby, diagnosed with cancer and launched into chemo

I have a ScanFest in the morning. Of your mercy, please pray that the liver tumor and its evil posse have not advanced, and that I won't be sentenced to chemo again. I really like having eyelashes.
Prayers for the Telefamily, @Rossweisse and others.
I managed to visit J in hospital yesterday. She is sitting up and cheerful, but was that morning told that only 7% survive what happened to her, so she is thankful! She has another surgical procedure to undergo today. She has lost memory of 12 days, some of which were before the heart attack and were part of a long-planned holiday. Thanks for your prayers for her and D.
Continuing to pray for all, but especially J. and Mike's family and friends. Those attacks seem to be frighteningly similar to mine, and I continue to give thanks for all of your support and prayers as my recovery continues. The survival rate here is quoted as 1-5% absent a defibrillator onsite and 5-10% with a defibrillator. Many public venues including supermarkets and such are now installing automatic defibrillators.
The Cathedral has just installed one, and D. and I were part of a group of staff, volunteers and members of various groups who last week had a demonstration video of how to use it. I hope I'm never needed for that, but I'm glad it's there.
Little Beaky is not in a good place. The NG tube is causing so much pain it is triggering seizures and the once happy little boy is now crying continuously.
I held him upright for seven hours one day this week which is the only thing that gives him relief. The waiting list for the surgery to put a peg into his stomach is months long and his little sibling will be born next Friday. I am so very concerned for him and his parents as they are utterly exhausted.
If you would like to see pictures of him, his parents have just made his Instagram account public.
Thank you for your prayers for them- please be assured of my prayers too

Good news from the ScanFest: All the tumors seem to be stable at the moment. The lymphedema and neuropathy are still bad, but I'm controlling them (at least enough to sleep, even if at the cost of some morning grogginess) with medications for now. Deo gratias!
Big 13 yo grandson who knows everything, , just like other teenagers, is going by plane to his great grandma’s for a week. This involves a plane to Brisbane and then a change for another plane to Gladstone , hundreds of kms further north. He knows everything but I can sense the trepidation under the bravado. First plane trip. His dad is taking him to airport and will see him onto plane.
Prayers ascending in thanksgiving for Ross's good scanfest; for safe travels for Loth's grandson; and for Jengie's H.
I was born with cataracts and have had surgery on both eyes; if my experience (one was 40 and the other 20 years ago*) is anything to go by, your friend should be just fine.
Just heard he has arrived. Thanks for prayer and caring. There was a delay of two or three hours between flights. Brisbane airport is miles from anywhere, including Brisbane and he had been warned airport food is expensive. He coped and so did we
For Little Beaky, for pain relief and seizure control immediately.
For H,
Thanks for travelling mercies for the Grand Lothson.
For Ross. Tumors go away.
Thanks for prayers for the Telemum. She got a tetanus shot and some antibiotics. However, yesterday she had one of her rare angina attacks so I am a bit worried about that.
Also, Problem Cat’s tail bite seems to be weeping, which I am slightly worried about. Among other things, he’s brushing against things the Telemum touches. Think I’ll bandage it, not sure what to do there.
@Lothlorien: Glad your grandson got through his first independent flight okay, even with the delays.
@Telepath: Hope Telemum is recovering from her angina attack, (which sounds concerning....)
And hope that a solution is found for Problem Cat's tail. Things like that can sometimes turn into an issue. I very much hope yours doesn't....
Okay so Problem Cat immediately tried to take my arm off. Guess he's OK.
So, Jeffrey Epstein. Also, Boris Johnson. Also, Jeremy Hunt. Also, all the others. Also, some people have finally figured out that... well, I won't go on about it here, but God knows.

<votive> For L, my Senior Child; she says she's (mostly) okay, but something just doesn't seem right.
