Would you of your kindness pray for a colleague D? I have known him for over twenty years, he played often the big grumpy stolid colleague in the corner who gets everyone out of scrapes. He has been through major health scares and such but nothing seemed to ever really perturb him. Today I met him as he left his office to go home, he looked like a kid who had been staring at screens under the blankets way into the night. He admitted to me he was staying awake worrying. Not sure over what and I am not going to ask but I am pretty sure he could do with some prayer if only for a good nights sleep.

Please pray for young Mr B. Already diagnosed at 51 with lung, liver and bone cancer, they've now found more in his kidneys. His mother and siblings are distraught and the team from our local hospice are doubtful whether the hospital can get him well enough to be moved there to die. Ghastly.

I got a picture of Cousin Dearheart in my inbox in the early hours, and there she is, lying in a hospital bed at home. This is not okay with me. I am behind the times but I want her to be all, all well again. I do not know what to say to my cousins.
On the one hand, I met a very important goal today, but on the other, I have been awesomely unproductive for the last two days. Please pray that tomorrow will be a blaze of glory, that you’ll hear the sonic boom from how much I get done.
DIL’s dad is still alive but is so close to death it could be any minute. Was moved to private room palliative care yesterday and is on IV pain relief. Thanks for prayers.
From the bottom of my heart I know that prayer changes things, and that since the first thing changed is the intercessor (a word that spell check seems to hate!) I salute everyone who comes to this thread.

It's still going on. I've been caught in the gap between insurance plans after changing jobs, and it's taken more than a while to get things started again.
Call the new provider. I need to see my primary provider, who they just assigned. Appointment available in about six weeks. They sent me to urgent care so that I could get referral to urology. UC doctor didn't mark the referral urgent, so I made another trip to the clinic. That finally got some progress. I saw an NP Monday, and got an appointment in urology the next day. (That's what I was hoping for when I started yelling about all this.) The urologist took a look at my urine sample (about the color of cherry juice) and scheduled another diagnostic appt for tomorrow. Film at 11, as they say on TV.
Oh - got an email back about my lab results. I seem to be anemic. DUH! - I could have told them to expect that after I'd been peeing blood for seven weeks.
They already did a CAT scan in the ER when I originally went in, so they think they can rule out cancer and other really bad results.
Small progress will be enough for today.
Prayers for all who need them here. And thanks for all who lift up those prayers. Include me please. Slowly recovering from a bathroom fall that didn't leave many places on me uninjured.

Thanks, everyone. In the end it was very peaceful, but no less distressing for that. I don't think I've ever come across such a quick descent from diagnosis to death (nine days), but at least he didn't suffer for long: he was heavily sedated from last Sunday and never really woke after that.
