News on the Tea and Biscuits thread from Smudgie saying she's heard from Welease Woderick and they are OK, on an island, but OK.
They are safe and the water seems to be receding. Their lost power has been restored. Food is in dwindling supplies but there is enough to be going on with. They still seem to be isolated by the flood.

Bless you all for your prayers - Youngest Bruv is home with medication to dilate the narrowed artery and instructions to improve his fitness and cholesterol levels.
I want to thank you for praying for me. It's been a very hard 2018. I'm told my sister may have two years to live with her ovarian cancer, which is far far better than the two months (!) my mother quoted me a couple weeks ago, so I'm grateful. Mr. Lamb is 99% back to normal after stroke, and nobody else in the family has died (yet). We've forbidden them all to do so in 2018--hope they listen.
Good to hear that Welease Wodewick is safe. He was on my mind this morning.
Prayers, please, for my friend Greg. He's a damaged soul, and very private. Last week he was four days in hospital (a longish time by Canadian standards) for something "diabetes related" (he is severely diabetic). He is slightly aphasic now... not good for anyone, but especially for a lawyer. He has also lost his sense of taste and smell, not good for anyone, but especially for someone who got such joy from food and cooking. He is very worried, and is, ultimately, suicidal, in that once his service dog is dead, he'll let himself go. In Costa Rica. He has said as much because I know how to decode him.
Prayers continuing to ascend for all in need, especially Lamb Chopped and her family; Wodders and his friends in Kerala; Piers Ploughman; and PG's Greg.
Would you please spare a prayer or two for me? I need at least two and possibly three eye operations *eeek* for glaucoma and cataracts *double eeek* the whole thing complicated by having moved from one side of the country to the other.
Would you please pay for wise decision-making (for me), efficient admin (for the two hospital trusts involved) and satisfactory outcomes (for whatever surgery I decide on)?
<votive> Praying through, for all, by name. (LC, I’m glad to see you back!)
My surgery yesterday seems to have been a success. It was a long day, and a long operation, but they let me go at last. I’m sore and gimpy today, but that should improve soon, I trust.
I was born with cataracts, and if your experience is anything like mine, the surgery will be "wee buns" - i.e. no bother at all. My m-i-l had "adult" cataract surgery about 20 years ago and also had no bother with it; apparently the first thing she said when she came home was "goodness, I must clean those curtains!"
Ross - glad to hear your surgery went well - wishing you a speedy recovery!
Prayers ascending for both of you, and all others in need.
Prayers for Pangolin Guerre's friend Greg in Costa Rica -- and for all suffering with depression
Ongoing prayers for Lamb Chopped and her family
For WW, SK, and all still affected by the floods in Kerala
For Mrs S -- I can second what Piglet says because I've had numerous ops for detaching retinas and cataracts, and 'wee buns' is the word. Praying for you
Prayers of gratitude for Rossweisse, hoping for more healing
Asking for more prayers for my friend PF, who had a lengthy op last week but needs to begin chemo immediately. His family are distressed and fearful.
Praying for all that post here and those that need our prayers and cannot ask.
Rossweisse glad the surgery went well.
Mrs S that's a lot to contend with. I hope you get a plan of action sorted pronto.

The Telemum is in extreme pain but has another 3 weeks to wait to see the consultant. It has been this way since May. The painkillers are not having any effect.
(She has an arterial blockage in the groin of the leg that is ulcerated)
Tomorrow I am going to call around and try to find someone who can treat her privately and immediately.
Meanwhile, I am increasingly desperately behind on my work. There is a great deal of manual labour that has to be done before the end of the month. (Fixed amount of work needs to be done in a fixed amount of time, then the funding runs out.) I MUST not fall behind.
Right now though I'd ask for the Telemum's pain to be relieved, immediately; and wisdom for a swift cure of the cause of that pain.
Please also pray for M. whose father passed away this afternoon, as well as G., and J. We are neighbours and I have known them for most of my life.
For my dearly beloved colleague M who out of the blue passed away last night. I am stunned. For his family, dealing with the kids of a great and loved husband and father.
So sorry to hear that - prayers for a successful outcome.
🕯 Looks as though the operation was a success ... he's being held in ICU overnight but may transfer to a recovery ward tomorrow. Tired and grumpy so things are looking up. Maybe a few more days of prayer ... but this may be a turning point 🕯
Okay, well, fortunately I found an expert who was able to see her today because he had a cancellation. Explained everything about the blocked artery, was told she might need to have a scan at huge expense.
She went, some nurses changed her dressings and sent her home. It apparently will take "six weeks" to heal, but I don't see how it can without treating the blocked artery, or what they're proposing to do about the blocked artery. Neither does she.
She apparently has to go back next week to get the dressing changed. It is not clear what this will cost, nor what today's appointment cost outside of the consultation fee. She has her dressing changed at the GP surgery three times a week anyway.
She assumed they knew about the blocked artery because he "had her notes", but I don't know if that means he had her notes from the GP or simply notes from his secretary when I made the appointment. I don't know whether notes are still being transferred by courier, which takes a day.
No suggestions about pain relief.
This is why I wanted to go with her (she wouldn't let me). When my dad had a brain tumour that caused him expressive aphasia, he couldn't tell me what the doctors were saying and my mother couldn't either.
But, I guess this means she is going to be in severe, ever-worsening pain for the rest of her life, will never heal, and will never be able to do anything about any of it.
