    I can’t guarantee it will work for all browsers and devices, but this code

    produces this picture 🕯 (a candle on my devices) & - - - ; tells the software that I’m inserting a special HTML character, the # tells it to expect a Unicode number, and the x tells it to expect a hexadecimal number.

    I think it’s the forum software which changes them when you post or preview.
