Apparently different people have been getting one of two different words in today's Wordle, depending whether they were using the old site or the new site. (This article contains spoilers.) https://mashable.com/article/wordle-241-glitch-answer

same also but in yet another order. We should probably have another competition which is to take the previous day's quordle and come up with the best sentence containing all four words. Except I don't remember the previous day's words
Looks like scoring 3 is my new normal but I feel a little dirty today. After my second guess and not soon thinking of any common words with the two letters I knew were in the right place, I did a search for such words. From the list of candidates I could dismiss most of them for other conflicts and really only liked two real candidates. The winner I liked a little more.
My wife only enjoys the game at all by doing searches like that. Mostly I prefer not to as it just ends the fun sooner. I wonder how common it is use a word search in finding the solution. We’re a bit older and she’s been having some memory issues. I do too but not such as would interfere with puzzles.
Apparently, I do numbers better than words! Watch me fail miserably from now on since I've said that!

I find Nerdle much more straightforward and simple to consistently get in three tries - or at least to get the basic shape, though sometimes there will be a bit of rearranging, as it may, say, either be 34+26 or 36+24. But by the third try, I either have the answer, or know the choices I have. I also keep waiting to fail, waiting for one that doesn't fit this pattern, convinced I'm being too confident, but it hasn't happened yet.
There are more Wordle variants than you might have expected. They even include a Lordle of the Rings one (which can be surprisingly difficult). Ignore the "27 variants", more have been added since. Enjoy.

I had to take a look at Flaggle. I guess it’ll be more difficult if the flag of the day is a biband or a triband, but today’s was disappointingly easy, as I suspect most days are.
Ha, I've seen several articles listing the ever-increasing variations on Wordle. I've tried a few, but the ones I stick with are Wordle, Bardle, Quordle and Nerdle. I do all four every day. Wordle is actually the one I like the least, but I somehow feel compelled to do it as I've been doing it every day now for quite a while. And of course when others are posting that it was easy or hard, I become curious. I'll probably stop doing it at some point though.
I've stuck with Wordle and Quordle. I've tried others but the novelty of the themed ones gets a bit much after a short while. This has displaced Candy Crush at the top of my Games I Currently Need To Play Daily list.
I've also tried some of the other NYT free games in their side menu, and Tiles and Letter Boxed are two I always look forward to.
