Prayers for the people of Paris and for H's grand-daughter, I. (I had Scarlet Fever in my 20s, and completely lost my voice for a month. I also lost my singing voice for a good three months - when I tried to sing nothing came. When it eventually returned I was no longer a second alto but a second soprano!)

Sorry to confuse people. I was referring to the grief itself coming back in not-quite-full-force-but-bad-enough (since it's the first Holy Week after all those family members died), NOT to a new death or something similar. Sort of like the first Christmas after a death, only more so.
Thanks! We've had a low-key family fight (more of a snit on Mr. Lamb's part) every freaking night this week. He tends to lose his temper when he's stressed. I, on the other hand, worry incessantly, with insufficient cause... Not a good combo.

Asking prayer for a Mrs X (don't know her name) who was a visitor from the States at my Maundy Thursday service last night and told me afterwards that she had heard that her father had just died.

For D, who has been transferred from a hospital ward she liked, and is talking of walking out of the rehab place (she can barely use a frame), and blaming her son. For him, full of worry about what is to happen, though she is in a place designed to care for her.
The brother, D, of very-occasional poster apostate630, was in a car accident a few days ago, but seemed to be fine. However, yesterday he became disoriented and was admitted to the ICU for observation. He's now going to have an MRI to see what's going on. Prayers please.
