    It sounds as though the video screens didnt add much apart from distraction. I wonder what their purpose is?

    They may be of more use when there's a large congregation in the nave (or perhaps an audience, at a concert or recital).

    Current restrictions due to Ye Plague may mean that they're largely redundant at the moment, but perhaps the powers that be have decided it's easier to leave them in position. I agree that having one working during Evensong was probably unnecessary.
