Thank you for your prayers! I have fractures in my left and right ilium, particularly badly messed up on the left side (which comes as no surprise to me, at least). On Monday I am to see a specialist who thinks he can do something with some kind of cement. I pray that he can.
Meanwhile. I'm to stay off my feet and veg as much as possible this weekend. I'm still going to try to get to church.

My very elderly friend fractured her sacrum and it was cemented back together...her pain was eliminated almost immediately and she could move her legs within a few hours! This is meant as encouragement to you!!

Like many others, I was thinking about Sir K and Zeke, too. <votive>
Erstwhile shippie and my best man Piers Ploughman (can't remember which way he spelt it) has just been rushed to hospital with what appears to be a total organ failure. Being held in an induced coma while they work out what's going on and if it's survivable.
Ma Mad Cat is emerging from a dark period following her cancer treatment. She is now eating better, and taking ownership of her physical rehab, gradually walking further, and doing her breathing exercises. Please pray that she continues to be encouraged by 'little wins'. She is, to use a good Scots word, thrawn, so I have hope. Please pray for Pa Mad Cat, who is the main care-taker at the moment.
Today I head from Youngest Bruv in Barcelona. He is in hospital following chest pains, and has to have a procedure on Monday to look at his heart. Please pray that all goes well, and that he makes a full, speedy recovery. I think this is especially horrible for Pa Mad Cat: there is a history of heart and vascular problems on his side of the family, and he lost his mum early to a heart attack.
God, we've had enough now. I think all the illness can go away, for a while at least, thank you plz amen.
Continuing prayers for a whole family who are now recovering from the measles but who have eye and liver damage as a consequence of this dreadful disease.
Just heard that an old friend of mine, PF, is going for major surgery tomorrow on his gall bladder and pancreas, the spread of cancer suspected. His wife and adult children very anxious. Please keep PF and family in your prayers, grateful thanks.

I'm having a CT scan in the morning, right before going to radiation. I really need a better hobby.
Lord, have mercy.

Yesterday was six weeks since the accident, and I went to work today without the c-collar. It's a welcome change!
My neck still feels stiff and I've probably got physical therapy and more fun coming up. First step is an MRI on Monday. Film at 11...
Prayers ascending for all in need, especially those injured and for the souls of those who were killed in the shooting in Fredericton this morning.
Rest eternal grant unto them, O Lord, and let light perpetual shine upon them.

<votive> for all killed or injured as a result of the motorway bridge collapse in Genoa, Italy. Not the sort of thing one expects in this day and age.
