Please say a prayer for C, who's really being put through the wringer. Her husband, M, has been dealing with cancer treatments for months, her daughter-in-law's father just died unexpectedly, and her mother was transferred - on 18 hours' notice - from her care facility to another one that's not as good and immensely inconvenient. Nobody deserves this much grief, but C, who is all about other people, really doesn't.
My son has come home from sixth form feeling sick but really he is anxious about something. Please pray that he will open up to us about it so we can help him.
For all under threat from the weather in Ottawa, Gatineau, the Carolinas, and in the aftermath of Florence.
I really want the Telemum treated sooner than possible... and please, for the treatment to be the less dangerous option (balloon angioplasty) and to succeed, and and... her pain is continually one step ahead of the drugs’ ability to manage it. She was doing OK on Friday, then had debridement and you can guess the rest.
Cousin looks like she probably has gliomatosis cerebri, which is about as bad as bad news can get. I can only imagine how hard this is for her daughter (who is named after the Telemum). I want to ask for a miracle but my faith is too weak.
Finally, Problem Cat has been coughing, which may be serious, so I will have to take him to the vet. He has a high excess and I still haven’t been reimbursed for Normal Cat’s treatment in July. And of course I have lots of time and no particular pressure so it will be easy to fit into my schedule as always.
Also my car intermittently stutters and stalls in heavy traffic, especially when pulling out into a busy intersection. The garage can’t diagnose it and says bring it back when it’s happening constantly. This is a big help and makes me feel really safe. Luckily I have lots of time and money to deal with it!
Oh and my urgent work is dragging on very slowly for some reason. I better not fall behind or fail.
I shouldn't have done prayer-by-grizzling yesterday, it was unappreciative. I am a very fortunate person overall.
The Telemum however is in extreme pain and has begun abusing paracetamol to cope. Her scan on Thursday is a long, long, long, long way away and any surgery is so far into the future it's unimaginable. Meanwhile, this is how it is for her.
That's got me very worried because the dangerous dose is so close to the effective dose--and the damage so severe. Is there something safer she can abuse? That didn't come out right. Praying.
Telepath, when I was experiencing a lot of pain, I rotated paracetamol, aspirin, and ibuprofen. I checked with the doctor if this was okay, and he said yes, so long as I kept within the recommended limits. Obviously everyone's different, and I'm not in a position to give medical advice, but maybe talking to a pharmacist could help with finding a safer alternative than abusing paracetamol?
Good idea. I did something similar, and hopefully your pharmacist will be more accessible than the doctors. Must stop now before I say something hellish...
My understanding is you can rotate paracetamol and aspirin or ibuprofen but not both but here is the advice of NICE. Oddly enough you can do step 5 without prescriptions but will need them for step 4.
Praying
Please pray for a friend I bumped into today. She is very excited about a new and interesting promotion but is also recovering from breast cancer. Please pray that she finds joy and equilibrium in her new work.
Please continue prayers for my cousin's baby K. and his family. Sadly the news is very bad. He went home from hospital a couple of weeks ago when things were looking like his cord blood transplant was doing pretty well and he was able to celebrate his first birthday at home with his family. However a couple of days later the cancer cells were dividing much faster than the transplant cells and he had to return to hospital. He was put on an experimental drug, which seemed to help for a short time, but he is now getting sicker again. His parents have been told that chemotherapy will keep him with them longer, but it is very likely he will not live much longer. It's so hard to even type that. Everybody is still praying for a miracle but acknowledges full healing may only occur in heaven. Please pray for cousin H., her husband and four year old daughter and all affected at this terrible time and of course for baby K. for healing or if not possible for a peaceful end to his life.
Please pray for Mr. Lamb--he's just been called to another deathbed, and this will make three deaths (family, friend, former member) in 10 days. He looks like death warmed over himself right now--this year we've already had several other significant deaths including that of his brother, and also his own stroke. I'm worried.
Please pray for the repose of the soul of Jean, who died last night, and for her surviving children, Linda and Sarah. I am presently in London with Linda and her husband, Bruce; we will be heading home tomorrow.
