Because of a liver condition, I can no longer drink alcohol. I used to hate it when the wait staff would ask me what I am drinking, and I would pass. Now, sometime during the end of the event, I will ask to talk to the bar manager and challenge them to consider providing a wider variety of non-alcohol spirits. Seems like more and more bars are providing something more than Shirley Temples.

Can we ask what it was that you'd pass, and where?

You're really not familiar with the locution 'Pass' meaning no, or not at the moment? How do you manage to play Bridge?

I understand what it means to pass in this context, but was asking what you'd pass. A bit naughty perhaps

    This all makes lovely sense.
'Its not good to boss people to tell them they are wrong is what we think. Thats about the light that lives inside all the Creators people. We won't be putting that light out'.

May our Dear Lord make your wonderful light shine brightly for your comfort and His glory !
Sorry, gone into 'pastoral' mode, but your posting moved me greatly. Don't judge me too harshly!

Thank you for saying that. I don't have a lord anymore. Hope thats not an insult for you. I have the Creator who has the light and give it to people and the animals and forests, lakes and all that. English they say mother nature. We say Creator about that. Creator gives to all of it, to people yes and to everything else also. We call this respect and being wise and kind about things. I am relearning this my self right now. Lost it for a long time.

No insult at all! I pray that all of us might be given the grace to have your insight and wisdom. We all have lost it for a long time. Especially about being wise and kind about things.

If Christians could press a 'reset' button and try the whole thing over again, perhaps that's where we would begin, with clean, clear language, and then try never to stray too far from it again.
