I will be eating alone. Do not have the energy for company this year. I am planing on salmon, fresh green beans, wild rice, a beet pickled egg, and jello. The only time I eat jello is Easter, as my mother always made a jello mold for Easter in the shape of an egg, so although I am not really all that fond of jello, it just in part of Easter for me. A chocolate egg for dessert. What wll be on your table?

But I had been thinking yesterday there was little point in me making hot cross buns this year, thinking I might be the only one who’d eat them. But now that we’re eating with them and other family who’ll gather there, I’ll plan to bake and take hot cross buns.
A better thread for me would be "Making plans for Easter naps."
*when served at Easter, it's referred to as "the gaadaamn haam" in my family, though everyone likes it. Asking if you've ordered the gaadaamn haam yet is very specific.
** we'll see what looks good for veg, as shipping fresh veg at this time of year is still uncertain, so one cannot plan firmly on one kind or another being available/decent. Also true for salad ingredients.
I don't like to take it for granted, so will have a 'ready meal' (of decent quality) in for Easter Monday which will move to Sunday if we find we are not expected.
