    Thank you for this report. I enjoyed reading it because I have visited Hawes many times and have attended worship at this church. I also became well acquainted with the vicar. I appreciated your description of the location of this church, which must be one of the most beautiful settings in England. The irregular heating you mentioned was most welcome because every time I visited Hawes there seemed to be an arctic chill. Your report revived fond memories of vacations in the Yorkshire Dales.
