  The limited focus of prayer seems to be a feature of this style of independent worship. I remember many years ago one of our Presbyterian Parish Council went along to a similar local gathering just to see what it was like, and his report was on this lack of outside prayer focus. At the time there was some concern — I think the Pope was very ill our something — and was included in our prayers but no, they were self focussed.
