After my third guess I could see there were at least three possibilities. I could have put in a fourth word which I knew was wrong, but would guarantee getting it in five. There was a two in three chance of getting it within five anyway (and a one in three chance of getting it in four). So I gambled, unfortunately, what eventuated was the one in three chance of getting it in six!
Yes, there were many options once you had the last 4 letters.
I don't play every day. That was my 200th game. Successful in 195 of them. Checking in on my afz score, my success rate is 0.975. The mean number of guesses came out to about 4.113, resulting in an afz score of 4.218. This is a slight improvement over my score on September 23 (4.253).
