    Popping in years later to say it's perfectly rubrical to use musical settings of Rite I texts in a Rite II Mass. Here at Ascension, Chicago, it's done all the time. And the BCP 1979 mothers and fathers wanted parishes to compose their own Prayers of the People, so St Mark's did well in not using the set prayers.
