Quite so, but at least it's a step in the right direction, and I hope they do as you suggest.

Given that Labour are the ones ditching biodiversity regulations around house-building as much as they can....Labour aren't innocent here. Making good noises wrt water companies but wanting to build on SSSIs [Sites of Special Scientific Interest] makes no sense.
Here on the southern California coast in between the mouths of the Los Angeles and San Gabriel rivers we always get warnings about staying out of the ocean for three days or so after every storm.
