My understanding, from research and from what I've seen published, is that nobody is going to intervene with this doe until she's dead--at which point I can contact the local eagle sanctuary and they'll take her body for the birds. But I'd prefer to put off that day...
Deer are specifically ruled out as subjects of interest for the MO Dept of Conservation and for agencies reporting to them, EXCEPT as creatures to be hunted, or when they become major nuisances and you want to get rid of them (read: kill them without waiting for deer season and a permit).
