I would appreciate prayers for my dad, who is going to hospital today for angioplasty and a stent for his heart. He was supposed to have it last week - I posted about it before - but it was changed to today.
Little Beaky is still fairly poorly but has had a much better last 24 hours- thank you for your continued prayers as his parents await appointments with consultant neurologists.
Thanks for the prayers, in the end, I managed to postpone the course. I still have very little voice and almost certainly would have had had none by the end the course.
Thanks to anyone who prayed for my dad. He is okay. He had an angiogram, and not the angioplasty and stent, after all, as the heart problems he has are not the kind that can be helped by that. Now I am staying with him for a few days, as he needs someone with him for 24 hours after the procedure.
Would you pray for A, an elderly woman in our host congregation who has had a serious falling-out with a certain ham-handed leader (HHL) and is now thinking of leaving? HHL has no social skills and was trying to do the right thing with disastrous results (and probably doesn't fully understand what went wrong, nor would he accept it if I told him). IMHO A. can't afford to lose established friendships etc. and lifelines for practical care though she's stubborn enough to try. A real mess.
Dad is refusing to contemplate going into a home. Social Services tend to think he is competent to make that decision and should go home with more support. At present, he thinks he is at a conference rather than in a hospital. My sister is getting to the end of her tether.
Could I ask for your prayers: I'm celebrating Eucharist for the first time, with reserved sacrament, this morning, and am getting quite nervous. I just want to do it right...

I've just heard that two of my students, a mother and son , have been in a car accident. They both have spinal injuries and are in hospital away from home. Please pray for V and MP, that their injuries aren't too severe and they recover quickly.
Prayers ascending for all in need, especially Dormouse's V and MP, and also for H, the frontman of an excellent Queen tribute band, who has had a heart attack.
When they did their first big gig in Belfast, I was one of the backing singers*, and it was the most fun I've ever had with my clothes on.
* Their keyboard player's father sang in a choir that D. and I were in, and they drafted in several of us to fill in the operatic bits.
Little Beaky had a hospital visit yesterday and has an EEG and consultant neurologist appointment today. His parents are exhausted especially as his lovely mother is expecting another baby too. I was with him yesterday and he is suffering poor little chap so your continued prayers are greatly appreciated.
My prayers continue for all of us who post here and those we love
Prayers for all, Mrs Beaky. I can’t imagine the care involved and all the worries which are part and parcel of his life and the lives of his family and those who care for him
