This is, for once, a minor thing--my kid LL is doing his Eagle Scout project (building a flight of steps outside) on Saturday, and I am freaking out a) that nobody may show up to help, b) that it may rain buckets, and c) that there will be major flub-ups, as we are far from being professional. But there is no more time to obsess as he ages out of the program in a month... Must.Do.Or.Die(of.Embarrassment).
Praying for all that post here, specially those distressed by the whole Brexit disaster.
Can I ask for prayers for me and my family? My brother K is facing a major operation in a couple of weeks, and I'm getting very stressed trying to do the best for our mother, whose flat is under offer. She needs to be in care but is assuming she is going to move to a flat elsewhere. Prayers that I negotiate that without major meltdowns either from her or me.
I was once in LL’s spot, LC. The date on my Eagle certificate is 2 days before my 18th birthday, so there was no room for any do-overs. I was calm, but I remember my parents’ attempt to hide their freaking out. All turned out okay. Praying it will for LL and his parents, too.

Basically good news - possibly more work offered - seems to become a problem now due to time constraints and other obligations I have. It's like a huge jigsaw which I currently don't know how to piece together. It's rather unsettling.
Back from LL's project--which is only half done, due to a) extremely rocky soil, and b) extremely ... ah... perfectionist adults who seemed to have forgotten exactly whose project it was. Not sure what we're going to do next weekend--try to go it alone with just the family (eek!) or ask back one of the perfectionist adults for the sake of manpower. LL will talk to me about it in the morning.
Prayers for all clerical shippies who will be getting busy - as if they weren't already.

I could do with some prayers. I've someone coming round to assess my mum for a possible move to a care home. it is going to be a tricky conversation.
For His Holiness the Dalai Lama, in his 80s and in the hospital with a chest infection. I think he's been somewhat frail for years. When he does die (far in the future, hopefully), there's a good chance chaos will ensue, given Tibet, the Tibetan diaspora, and the Chinese gov't. He's helped hold back attempts at violent revolution, AIUI. Plus he does a lot of good in the world, and inspires people towards compassion.
For me: health, general upholding, and a long list of private intentions.
Please pray for my boss whose mother died of bastard cancer on Wednesday morning. She's in the UK at the moment but will be returning to France shortly.
