I would like to ask for prayers for the soul and loved ones of Z, a nineteen year old of my acquaintance. He was killed in a hit and run accident about three weeks ago.
Z was a good kid, who tried to help his siblings and others in spite of a horrid family circumstance.
O - the same thing happened to my brother recently. The stent (a wonderful descendant of the Umbrella) did the trick, and he's now quite OK. Hopefully, R. will find it as efficacious for him!
Thanks for the prayers for Dad, as far as I can tell he is doing ok. From the weekend I might be able to phone him regularly again (we have got him a SIMPLE mobile device)
However would you in kindness pray for my sister C, she is the organiser in the family since Mum developed dementia (I can organise but she is better and organising actually helps her cope). However, she had more than her fair share to cope with (three elderly parents in care plus various other family trials) and got what I think was an unexpected health call today on top.
Thank you all! It is - under the circs - a best-case scenario: I have a fractured vertebra in my lower back. The cancer has not spread, and there are no new tumors.
However, it's quite painful. I'll see the radiation oncologist on Monday morning, and we'll see if he can do anything for pain cessation. If not, I'll be cancelling my upcoming trip to Japan - we're to be walking a lot and taking public transportation, and I'm having trouble getting around.
That sounds like a very positive outcome, Ross - there's someone up there listening. Prayers continuing to ascend for you, and for Janine and her Other Half.
Very happy to hear this news Ross.may the right pain relief be forthcomi ng. Would previous treatment have contributed to weak bones? My sister can break a rib just by thinking about it. Weakened by radiotherapy, there is no strength left in the bone.
Thank you NEQ- Baby Beaky's seizures are currently off the scale. The next two weeks involve lots of hospital visits. In some respects the system has failed them up to this point so these next visits are really important. His parents are exhausted so your prayers are very much appreciated.
My prayers for all of us who have posted here.
Nat is out of the hospital, but he has to go for dialysis three times a week. The doctors are still doing tests to figure out what the underlying problem is. Please pray that he won't need a kidney transplant.
Praise to almighty God (yes, I know there's a separate thread!) for the strength of spirit shown by those mentioned on this thread.
In my time as an NHS healthcare professional, this was often a striking aspect of the job, and of the acutely-ill, or chronically-ill, peeps I dealt with day-by-day.
<votive for you all>, whether suffering yourselves, or watching those in pain.
I had a phone conversion with my nephew J this evening. It sounds like my older brother G (with Parkinson's) is getting much worse. I know J overdramatises a bit sometimes, but I am worried.
I have already booked tickets to visit on his birthday in August, and can't change them for an earlier time.
