I have known B since university days, although he was a decade or so older than I. Never a close friend but a good one for more than last 50 years. His last 2 months have been very difficult, with doctors unable to come up with a diagnosis other than that he was very ill, lying in hospital not speaking to anyone save brief grunts to his wife. He died this morning. Of your charity, please pray for him and his widow, another B.
My thanks to those of you who pray for all in need, including those who cannot ask - I remember days when knowing that you did so was all that kept me going.
Can I ask prayers for my teenage son. He has torn cartilage in his hip, and has been off sport for four months now. For some of us that might not matter, but he is 16 and lives to play shinty, so what with his age/stage and this he is getting pretty depressed at times. In a month they will decide if he needs surgery. Nothing compared to others on these boards, but suffering is not relative to the person going through it.
Pray for my Dad that things go smoothly today as he needs to go for another x-ray on his shoulder. This will have to be arranged between intermediate care staff and hospital staff. Dad gets tetchy when things go awry and he cannot fix them.
My sister has been given the all clear with her health scare. Still the elderly generation to care for, husband and two kids but at least no health scare for her.
There is the possibility of something that would make me very happy. Please pray that I might have the wisdom, grace and sensitivity to negotiate towards this today.

Prayers for the repose of the soul of W, an elederly member of my writing class. She looked like your typical sweet little old lady, but wrote brilliant stories, many of which had a very dark twists indeed. She'll be missed by us all

The candle I used is on the iPhone and iPad emoji keypad. You need to scroll right quite a bit to find it, or click on the lightbulb at the bottom and then scroll left a bit. It’s in between the torch and waste paper basket. Once you’ve used it once, it comes to the front though, so you see it immediately.
From what I understand, the new Ship forums were not letting emojis show to begin with, but once the latest update happened, you can use them and they show. Because I only just joined the new Ship last week, I didn’t know they hadn’t been working, so I used them.
