Please prayers again for my family. It looks like the crucial decisions over care for my Dad will happen in the next 24 hours. My sister's wellbeing as well as my Dad's depends on these decisions. Both prayers that they are right and also that we all are able to accept the outcome.
Just to say, Dad has agreed to go in a care home for respite care for a month but now we need the assessment from the home to say they will take him. So still uncertainty. Thanks
My daughter just sent me a message- although the seizures are off the scale still Little Beaky is finally eating again so that is a wonderful thing and such a relief!

Tomorrow I am preaching for a neighbouring congregation who next Sunday will vote on whether or not to link with my church(es) and have me as their minister. I am not really worried, but would appreciate prayers.
Thanks, it went fine. I wasn't worried about the actual service, but all of what is happening is telling people what they do not want to know: i.e. that there must be change, and for that small, elderly (and long-suffering under the last incumbent) congregation that was never going to be easy to hear. Now we will have to wait and see how the vote goes next week - when my churches also have to vote about the linkage (they don't get to vote about having me as minister - they did that 10 years ago, and they are stuck with me!)
Just to say thanks for the prayers. As I left Dad last night he was settling in really well. That we will not be reviewing for five weeks means we have some calm and I am pretty sure the result of that will be an extension for another four weeks.
Very shaken by the news of the Ethiopian airlines crash near Addis Ababa, an airline and route I fly quite often. Praying especially for the families of those killed. 🕯
freaked out again. They found something suspicious on my mammogram, and I've got to go in for further testing. The anxiety is really hitting my family hard.

He grumbled. He moaned. He groaned. His family persisted.
I visited him whilst he was there (the place concerned has a Very Good Reputation for high-quality care, BTW).
He was ABSOLUTELY LOVING IT!
