And the following part in which the Daystar challenges the Most High, before being cast down into Sheol, which is metaphorically what is going to happen to Venus as its orbit hurries it towards the Sun and out of sight until it becomes the Evening Star. It goes down very fast when it goes, so the poetry fits its behaviour as well as prophesying doom.
And thank you for the praise of the pictures. It's going to take a bit of time to recover from missed sleep!

Thank you. To be honest, I'd never heard much of identification of cosmic powers within Judaism with celestial bodies, but thinking about it it's logical that they would do that.
This morning, as we left the house, the moon was looking stunning straight in front of us, and Jupiter and Venus were hanging in the sky like jewels to our left. It was one of those moments where you realise that you are standing on one world and looking at three others. That moment of pure awe never gets old!!
Really enjoyed reading this, and the photos. It is about starlight passing through Titan's atmosphere.
Wow, yes. Gathering information about Titan's atmosphere by measuring the light of a star that happens to pass behind it. That's some serious high-resolution stuff going on there.
I think Titan is where we will discover Alien life, more likely than on another planet in this solar system. Mot this time, a reflecting telescope on a 747 is not the right tool, but we could be closer to the discovery after this data is analysed, then the next step is worked out.
Yeah... we were watching live from the Control Room (having dragged the sofa across the floor to be opposite the desk-top) and then it all turned to custard in the last few seconds.
It had been something for The Whole Country to get excited about ...
Over its Journey it was followed by so many here - as a contra to what was going on around us (elections, the usual mayhem, uncertainty, etc)
Often, as the immense gravity of a black hole pulls gas from a nearby star, some of that material is shot back into space at nearly the speed of light. Usually those jets blaze straight "up" and "down", along the axis on which the black hole spins.
But the jets from black hole V404-Cygni were swinging around, shooting out plasma in different directions, Professor Miller-James and colleagues report today in the journal Nature.
For those of us in UK, a partial lunar eclipse (~60%) tonight; mid-eclipse around 22.30 BST. Should also be visible over much of Asia, Africa, eastern parts of South America, and western parts of Australia.
Nice touch that it coincides with the Apollo anniversary.

Interesting, with reference to Isaiah, that Venus appears higher and brighter than Jupiter.
They're very nice, well done!
Are you talking about Isaiah 14:12?

Nothing published by NASA yet that I can see.
Interesting way of getting there...ever wider orbits around the earth until the moon's gravity catches it -- all because of other payloads on board: https://www.space.com/israel-lunar-lander-long-trip-moon.html
By the way, I love the hi-res images of MU69.
Great photos -- thanks for the link, LeRoc.
Interesting about the novel too.
Good luck to the people in South Korea.

I cried and cried.
I wish them well for future attempts.
Meanwhile, the universe continues to be zany...Black hole caught warping space-time during feeding frenzy:
7,800 light years seems safe enough.
[tangent]The professor's name is not for dyslexics, I misread
Super photgraphs!!!!
I found both to be exciting.
I was there. It was fabulous.
