  • That sounds like good sense to me. I'm afraid trying to get Christians to agree on anything is like herding cats, or knitting fog.....

    Best wishes, anyhoo.

...I was not advertising and I was not engaging in self-promotion. I was responding to a couple of direct attacks on my writing (which no one here had read) by Rossweise and Doc Tor. ...
I was responding to your own description, posted earlier, of the protagonist and of why you were here. No one wants you to get your Christian characters wrong, but no one wants to be used, either.

Good manners are good manners everywhere. I'm not after an audience. I joined the Ship hoping I could get some advice on depicting Christians and Christianity. It hasn't worked out as I hoped.

I am coming to the point where I think I shall write as I see fit and if some Christians don't like it, sobeit.

Sounds like a threat. Dude, you can do whatever you like, and we wish you well at it, and the church won't crumble because of it. So do what you gotta do. But "I meant well" has never been a full and sufficient excuse anywhere for willfully disobeying the rules.

PS I'm another writer. The Ship is lousy with them.

Basically everyone who has posted since my last post: find an appropriate discussion thread to lance your need to tell @Colin Smith stuff about how to write, what to write, what christians smell like - any of it.

    Thanks.

My apologies, RooK. I took my comments to Hell, where they belonged.
