If anyone can explain where I have given the impression that I doubt characters in the New Testament existed, I'd be very grateful.
I'm getting old, but I'm fairly sure I have been consistent in arguing that we cannot know the accuracy of attributed words. I don't think I've said anything about the historicity of particular characters. Indeed, I believe that I have only ever made suggestions on the basis that these characters *did exist*.
Don't worry - we're all sick and tired of the hectoring, and downright rudeness, of James Boswell II/Rublev. Anyone who dares disagree with them is usually insulted, ridiculed, or patronised, as being an enemy of 'serious discussion'.
Ignore them, and they might just go away, though I'm not holding my breath...
@Bishops Finger you can start ignoring @James Boswell II more effectively as of now. And hopefully you in particular will read the linked post all the way through, and a few others will get the hint too.
Hostly winged helmet ON:@Bishops Finger, provocations to Shipmates you know to be under threat of suspension or banishment are out of line, as you have already been advised. Please clean up your act.
ETA: Do not accuse others of sock puppetry in these parts, either.
