We do like our donairs over here. I've just had toast and jam as a poor substitute. Rolled up the Rim for my dad today but didn't win the car. I really need a new car and keep hoping that someone who wins one will give me their old one.
Thanks, Lothlorien! It has been a long haul but no long waits for care.
Diomedes, there is never a bad time for butter tarts! Oatmeal porridge is on offer for breakfast here. The weather is quite mild but lots of snow is due today. We'll see. Most forecasts this winter have overestimated things by quite a bit.
(Don't make me parse Hosea 3:1 for you all)

We're getting quite a bit of snow today. About a foot so far, with another to come. Not cold though, only -5 in central Sask.
Is it every where in Canada that people talk of the weather first? "Snowy enough for you?" is today's phrase it seems. Just replace snowy with cold, hot, rainy, foggy, mosquito-ey and you've got the universal conversation starter.
At least at this stage there's hope that it might not lie for too much longer.
Weather here in Ontario has been perfectly pleasant, though many of are still in shock over the fact that Doug Ford is looking increasingly likely to be our next premier.
Such as yet another chuffing snow-storm on a Thursday buggering about with choir practice just before Easter?
Mind you, they're forecasting freezing rain for tomorrow and Thursday, which is something without which we could do.
I recommend a visit to the United Church there, as it has some very nice glass by Jack Clements. The people seemed pleasant and were friendlier and more outgoing than those I met at my visit over 10 years ago to All Saints (the Anglican parish), but as it was not a service, I cannot vouch for their coffee-- although the Gulf Islands are very coffee-focussed.
Here it was -26°C overnight. But warming to -8 so we're going skiing. A couple of elderly pseudo environmental hippies. And a dog.
Today, it's just wet, foggy and dreich.
Sorry to read of the junior hockey team deaths and injuries.
Weirdly I thought, BBC4 which I have on at night on earphones for insomnia had the news of this at 4am.
Heard that the church and clergy presence and just people is first rate as much as can be. Humboldt is historically German immigration. It had been a fast growing small city. We pass through at least monthly. For a small population province and town don't know what else to say.

A few years before I was born, eight members of the Manchester United football team were killed in a plane crash in Munich, and that is still etched on the memories of their supporters.
I think as well that the youth of the victims is a big factor - in this case, fifteen people dead long before their time, which touches everyone's heart and mind.
Library, transit, food, walking along that street.
Family all OK.
Just in shock.
Is there a police bravery award? If anyone deserves it, it's Mr. Lam.
We need the "notworthy" icon back!
So, of course I'd like to know if there are Shipmates there.
I'm spending way too much time on the tourism sites these days. It all looks good, and I wish I had forever to explore.
