It was at this time of year that my mother died. We gave the basket of small eggs for the family to the hospital ward. It was at this time of year that my father, years later, died. I think the family eggs hung around for a year. The end of Lent has echoes.
Kathleen D. in Dumfries, Scotland. She is 91 and fell at home. Twice. A very tough Irish lady lady she said on arrival at the hospital at her son's insistance "Oh yes, I have had a bit of a cough , oh for a week or so now". Given routine testing she was found Covid19 positive!
Many prayers for her best outcome.
Thank you for your lovely note. Chaim Schneur Zalman Yehuda was placed on ECMO on Wednesday. His left lung collapsed, then they got that up again, and his right lung collapsed, and then his left one recollapsed. Today the news was they could possibly remove the tube from his right lung tomorrow if he continues stable.
Many prayers for everyone in need at this time, for everyone's loved ones and friends as we look forward to our resurrected bodies.

My sympathies, PennyS.
One of my grandmothers died (many years ago) on the day before Easter. It was our first Easter in a new house, and because that weekend we weren't in the mood to celebrate, it seemed we never did develop new family traditions in our new home -- having outgrown our childhood traditions, started at a new church, etc.

Prayers for us all as we all suffer in some way or another. I saw 15 deer this morning, so I prayed by name for 15 shippies. Then I prayed for some more!
Sitting in a hospital waiting area waiting result of lung CT following an issue with my heart rate over this week (to rule out lung clot). please pray it is normal and I can go home.
Heart checked out and okay, probably having some post covid stress reaction.
Praying for you all while Iβm waiting.
Scan okay, so back home to rest and recuperate. At some point in time Iβll have further investigations, but we donβt know when that will be owing to the current hospital situation.
Praying for you all π―
@Heavenlyannie, look after you.
My brother is still not getting better as fast as one would wish. A few days and a few very down of course at the moment seeing his consultant will be tricky but it sounds like it is needed.
For everyone in care homes, residents and staff as they cope with the devastating effects of Covid 19.
Rossweisse's about to set off for the MRI which will show whether the cancer has reached her brain, and so whether she can continue on the study, and has asked me to post - please pray!

Thank you for the prayers! I had the MRI, and I got the result: The wee small spot remains wee and small; it has not grown. There is another wee small spot that has apparently been there before, but wasn't thought worth bringing up to me. (Really?)
My oncologist has to run this by a team of neurologists and a team of radiologists, so that they can decide what's to be done with me. I told him to explain to them that they're brain freckles, and harmless. He liked that, and laughed heartily, but I don't know if it will do any good.
Your continued prayers would be gratefully received - thank you!
I heard back from my oncologist late this afternoon. I don't know if it was my warped sense of humor that did the trick, but the team of Medical Experts have decided to allow me to stay in the study and continue treatment. They're going to "keep an eye on" the newer brain freckle, with another MRI in six to eight weeks. (I'm going to try to make sure that I'm overbooked from Day 1 of Week 6 to somewhere in Week 8; in the worst case, that gives me another two weeks.)
Thank you for your prayers. They are all immensely appreciated.
Kathleen D is astounding her doctor!
Her condition has improved so much that he's planning to release her from hospital on Monday! Don't stop yet though - we don't want anything to go awry
Wonderful news re all who appear to be on the mend.
Please pray for Skip, a member of our choral group. He is self employed, an organ tuner and technician. His business has completely evaporated in the pandemic, and he is at his wits' end as to how he and his family will survive. I had never seen him frown before last night (he's one of those people who always has a smile on his face), and had never seen him cry either. But he did both.
Would you please pray that Mr Lamb makes the right decision? His boss at the day job (home health care) has decided to send him, with no PPE but a single disposable mask, into the homes of possible COVID patients, basically 40 hours a week. Mr Lamb is not medical personnel, nor would he be accompanied by any such, nor does he have so much as a thermometer to figure out if anyone is ill. I suspect the goal is $, as the people to be visited have refused to come to the adult day care center because they are self-isolating--and the man's income depends entirely on being able to bill Medicare/Medicaid for something. Mr Lamb is 72 years old and has underlying health problems.
I am terrified he will decide he needs to carry on for some obscure reason. I want him to quit.

If brain freckles must be present may they be ornamental only. I admire your spirit! You are an example to us all and dearly beloved.
I pray for your whole healing and best outcome.
Praying for all in this thread - our tribulations are so many. Please dear Master, Jesus, have mercy on us and lay Your salvific hand upon us all.
