Prayers for those hurt or killed in Palestine today, for their families, and for God's love to be seen in action on the soil where Jesus walked. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayers.
Prayers continuing to ascend for all in need, and for Janine and her family. Of your charity, could you please pray for our friends D. and H., whose country cottage was wrecked in the recent floods?
Praying through for those with health issues, those sitting exams, those who are weeping or worrying, and those supporting them, all of us facing the finance monster, for Janine and family, and those affected by water, be it too little or in the case of Piget's friends and my roof, too much. <votive>
Please God, let me be freed from the constant acute pains in my poor little thighs. They make it hard to move about.
(GP unsure as to what is the cause - tests etc. continuing, but so is the pain. I have a very high pain threshold, but it's getting very uncomfortable).
Meanwhile, <votive> for others suffering chronic and/or acute pain.
In fact, I'm now trying the pain-relieving qualities of cannabis oil (legal in this country since last year, I understand). So far, so good, but I'm waiting for some high-strength capsules and tablets to arrive - again, all perfectly legal. The very low strength capsules available from a popular High Street health-thingy shop are not really having much effect.
Let's hope it works - it's supposed to, and it's also supposed to be less harmful than chemical drugs....
Among the dead in last Friday's plane crash in Cuba were ten evangelical pastors and their wives from the Church of the Nazarene, all returning from the same conference. That will doubtless be a huge loss to the denomination as well as to their families.
It's a small concern compared to bereavement and ill health, but if there are any spare, a prayer or two that my leaking roof be a tiny thing, easily and cheaply remedied, wouldn't go stray.
My BIL, K, diagnosed with mesothelioma just after Christmas is very low. Severe pain and uncontrollable digestive issues. Prayers for all including my sister and their daughter.
Another small thing in the scheme of things, but...
I've mentioned this on the "Animal Companions" thread, but if people could spare some prayers for my sick turtle, currently getting antibiotic shots, I'd appreciate it.
Ouch!
Went to osteopath today - I have a twisted pelvis, and contracted muscles.
Ouch!
Some manipulation is needed in a fortnight's time, with painful exercises to be done 5 times a day meanwhile.
Ouch!
But at least some progress is being made - I had a feeling something mechanical was awry somewhere...
<votive> for all suffering acute pain. May the cause, and treatment, soon be found.
I've sent the relevant urls for Macmillan Cancer Support's exemplary advice on cancer, fatigue and appetite loss to Ma Mad Cat. Please pray that she reads the bits she needs to see....
Prayers ascending for all in need, especially Ma Mad Cat. Also for our friend G., who went into Palliative Care yesterday; as his cancer has spread to his liver, I suspect he may be beyond the scope of Macmillan advice.
For the repose of the soul of a gentle and courageous friend, Canon Rowan Smith, former Dean of St George's Cathedral in Cape Town, who died yesterday. May he rest in peace and rise in glory.
For K who has discovered that - after being given the all clear on her breast cancer less than a year ago- the cancer has returned, aggressive, and stage 4. She is dealing with the shock and trying to look forward.

Such a hard time for the family, Lothlorien. Prayers for K, your sister and her daughter, yourself too.

For a blessed season of Pentecost.

Prayers for all here.
Your list made me smile, Piglet. He has rallied a bit today but really...

But at least I now know what the problem is, and how to deal with it.
<votive> for those who don't know....

For Piglet's G and G's family
For Mr Lamb in grief and recovery from a stroke
For the repose of the soul of a gentle and courageous friend, Canon Rowan Smith, former Dean of St George's Cathedral in Cape Town, who died yesterday. May he rest in peace and rise in glory.
Sadly, I had a message today to say that G. died this morning.
May they both rest in peace and rise in glory.
Prayers from me too.
