And now Trump says/it has been revealed to him that his infection with the virus was a gift from God to the American people, not for the reason that you might think, but because it caused him to insist on being dosed with a new and uncleared drug which worked brilliantly and which he will make available free to the public. You couldn't make it up.
I don't wish to sound too tinfoil-hatty here, but this reminds me more of the beast in Revelation than anything Messianic:

That's correct. There's no way around that under the terms of the Twenty-Fifth Amendment. The text specifies " . . . the Vice President and a majority of . . . ". As the person who is going to be the acting president, the vice president needs to be involved.
There are numerous shortcomings in the Twenty-Fifth Amendment. This seems like a way to correct one of them that can be fixed with legislation.

There's news today that public health officials in DC and neighboring areas are publicly encouraging people connected to the White House to get tested.
I'm not saying T should be shipped off to N. Brother Island, like Typhoid Mary (though...). But a secure suite at Walter Reed, maybe, without Dr. Conley involved. Some other no-nonsense specialist, plus no-nonsense nurses, etc.
I doubt anyone would have the guts to really make it happen. But he's wantonly endangering everyone around him, and they're scared. If public health officials could manage to pull it off, without the Feds getting too much in the way, they might well save lives.
And it would probably be faster than the 25th Amendment.
I'd also love to see the DC and Maryland public health officials post "virus hot zone" warnings around the neighborhood. Couldn't get away with signs on the WH fence, of course. But signs on the opposite side of the street, and on neighboring streets.
