Yes - the first one (ordered from Am*z*n in early January) didn't materialise, probably because of Brexit.
I was speaking to my brother about it, and he agrees with Nenya that I should hang fire, and either the actual legs might arrive, or if they don't, we might be able to get something that'll do from B&Q or similar.

In the past, when an order failed to arrive, I have phoned up, received a refund and then the goods arrived! When called back, the suppliers have tended to say 'Just forget about it', but I admit nothing was as big (or as expensive) as a table. Perhaps the legs will turn up after a very convoluted journey and you'll (eventually!) get the best of both worlds!
What a bugger about the the table @Piglet. I hope the legs turn up pronto and you get a table for free.
Although we had snow flurries all day, nothing much stuck. It's jolly cold though.
Not much snow stuck during the day - although a few inches came down, from where it did settle, but it's still snowing and there's a light icing outside over everything.
I await my first online grocery delivery this evening and have also managed to snag the same slot for next Monday evening.
That all went very well indeed. Three substitutions which I had an email about beforehand and I asked the driver to take back one before we touched it, the other two were fine. Mr Nen helped me put stuff away and it was all sorted in the space of about 20 minutes. It all seems very fresh and with good long dates on the refrigerated stuff. If I stick with it I'm hoping it will save me money in the long run as if I go to the shop I tend to pick something up if I'm not sure we've got it; ordering from home I can check the cupboards. It's also really nice knowing I haven't got to get up at 5.30 tomorrow and go out in the cold.
It's this one. It's about 5' x 3', and the top is some sort of wood composite, painted to look like marble.
I don't think Penny's idea about cupboards would work, as you need space to sit at it. I quite like the trestle idea though, if I could find something strong enough: the top is really heavy. I've had a look on B&Q's web site and there may be something there.
Today was the day I vacuumed my Mum. She has her first vaccination appointment on Wednesday and decided to remedy her lockdown hair. She cut most of it herself; I did the back of the neck and got the George out to give her a going over.
Happily the appointment is in the car park of the very local Supermarket so I can leave her to be jabbed while picking up something tasty of tea.
I have a couple of low filing cabinets under, but not supporting, my office table, and manage to sit at it - but I wouldn't be able to do so the other side. I wasn't sure how wide your top is.
Have you any contact who knows a joiner who might welcome a challenge?
I am reminded, unhelpfully, of St Eanswyth, who, when building her convent, found she had been supplied with beams of wood for the roof whch were too short. At the same time, she was visited by a local prince who wanted to marry her, and she told him she would only marry the person who could make the beams fit. She then had a dream in which a carpenter turned up and did the very thing, and woke to find the beams miraculously changed to fit, thus confirming her choice to be a bride of Christ.
Not likely in your case!
I wish we lived nearby, Mr Boogs would do it in a jiffy 🙂
Sunshine and snow here today. We have swapped dogs for a change so I’ll be taking sensible Tatze very soon.
We have our Church Zoom on Tuesday mornings, I enjoy it. About twenty people attend and someone brings a ‘thought for the day’ (about three minutes). It’s good to see everyone and keep up with the Churchy news.
I can see why you want those table legs, @piglet, they look rather special. B&Q don’t do anything near those, but the Swedish emporium has black metal trestles that may give a similar look, although I can imaging them being annoying for anyone sitting at either end.
But I hope the proper legs turn up before too long.
This lot seem to have a variety of suitable options. But I would support asking someone in the trade.
I never knew what pleasure the words 'Hartleys Industrial Trapezium Table Legs' or 'Hartleys 60mm Under Table Leg Mounting Plate Adaptor' provide when spoken.

... I don't see why Jesus shouldn't help Piglet, albeit possibly not by doing the actual joinery.
Well, he was a carpenter ...
Dining table saga, Chapter CCXXXVII ...
I had a text message from the delivery people this morning saying my Wayfair order would be delivered "between 10:36 and 12:36".
The original expected delivery date was today, so I suppose you could say they were sticking to it, even if it comes in separate bits!
My brother and sister-in-law are coming out for lunch (with the weather being the way it is they didn't fancy having to drive back in snow and darkness), so I predict that it'll arrive either while they're here or just after they've left.
In other news, we've now got snow - 2 or 3 inches of it. It's very pretty, but I'm glad I took a few days off work. I'd like it to be gone by Thursday, but I think that might be a vain hope.
I can't understand this antipathy to snow. It's the part of Winter I most look forward to.
I have a congenital connective tissue disorder which gives me painful fragile joints - I'm very careful about walking in snow or ice. Covid has also left me with a dodgy ticker, so I also don't want any exciting adventures!
Paths clearer today so my usual 2 mile walk before doing some admin. I have also done some displacement activities such as the laundry and feeding the birds in the garden but at some point I will still need to do my marking.
One of the leg fixtures has arrived (there are two).
When I pointed out to the delivery bloke that the package was marked "2 of 2", he shrugged and said, "everything's messed up because of the weather".
Gordon Bennett!
Clearly there was a sudden fall of snow between one box being put on the lorry and the other which meant they got separated. [more likely, having done the odd shift at bargain basement parcel couriers, the boxes got offloaded from one lorry in a fairly random way, got loaded onto trolleys and pushed around the warehouse in a sort of Brownian motion and then unloaded onto another lorry in a similarly random fashion and the point at which a given lorry was full happened to separate the different boxes]
I may be getting rather more legless than I should - my brother and sister-in-law brought champagne, as it's my birthday tomorrow and hers on Thursday, so I've had a couple of glasses.
They didn't stop very long - the weather was getting really quite nasty, and only the motorways had been treated, so they stayed long enough to have lunch and then scarpered. I don't blame them - it wouldn't have been nice to drive in, although it's eased off a wee bit now (for the moment).
That sort of legless sounds fun! I hope you have a wild party planned for your birthday tomorrow... oh wait...
We've had a few wintry flurries here and there's a biting wind. I was procrastinating about going out for a walk and then a friend contacted and said shall we walk together so we did, which was very nice. Having someone to talk to took my mind off how cold it was.

If the legs arrive while they're there, you'd have help assembling the table...
I would have done, but that didn't happen. They did, however, move the table top (definitely a two-person job) so it's now behind the sofa out of the way, and they said they'll come back to help with assembly* when (if?) the other leg arrives.
* I could probably assemble it myself, but getting it the right way up would definitely be easier with help.
No snow here thus far, but we might be getting some overnight. Fingers crossed. It's freezing cold, though. I have a pair of ski socks on and will soon be headed in the direction of a second jumper.
The heating is on constant and so I can sit here wearing a short sleeved shirt with a shawl over my shoulders and wrist warmers and be quite comfortable. We both have our vaccinations booked for Friday, so things are definitely looking up.
I walked out to check a string of geocaches this afternoon, my offspring having subluxed a foot and not up to walking on icy snowy pavements and fields. That particular route I've been avoiding as waterlogged and only passable in wellies. I hoped that it might be a bit more solid underfoot because there's some snow lying, but it wasn't properly frozen and it was well over ankle-deep in several places. Certain sections I was a bit concerned I might lose the wellies, that awful dragging each foot out and hoping not to go in further, to the accompaniment of worrying suction noises. It also snowed on and off most of the way round, which was pretty spectacular at moments.
I saw a buzzard being seen off by some jackdaws, a jay that made lots of fuss then flew off over me and I put up a kite which circled around as it moved up the hedgerow a bit, plus heard a great spotted woodpecker and possibly some long tailed tits.
There was enough snow lying this afternoon for the fields that usually get sledded on to be collecting bodies as I went past. (So no surprise to have limited numbers at youth work session this afternoon.)
Was that a string of geocaches that you've set and have custody of, @Curiosity killed ? The friend I went walking with today is a great geocacher and during the course of a walk will be pointing out "There's a cache behind that tree over there" and "There's a cache puzzle related to the number of slats on this bridge."
In other news it's our church's day of prayer tomorrow (weekly until Holy Week) and the first meeting is at 6.30am. Last week we had time to make a hot drink before the meeting and that helped a lot.
The snow is copious but soft, so quite a lot had slid off roofs or turned to water/slush in the more trafficked bits. However, the temperature went below freezing about 4 pm and forecast to stay there for 90% of the time between this and Sunday. So I'm anticipating a lot of compacted or refrozen surfaces that will be more difficult than freshly fallen.
My fish van man had to give up his round today, so may or may not get my order for this week. But otherwise fridge and cupboards well stocked.
@Nenya - that series isn't mine, but the cache owner lives too far away to visit in lockdown following rules, and I can walk them from home in just over an hour (although not in today's conditions), I agreed to keep an eye on them in the first lockdown, when that route was one of a few circuits we did for our daily walk. I do have some other geocaches placed too.
Supermarket delivery this morning. Just one item 'not available' - the "Just Cook" treat that was for this evening's dinner. Luckily the delivery van arrived at 07:30, so had time to dive in the freezer for an alternative.
Spent most of the day knitting. Or unpicking and re-knitting. Not enough concentration.

If the other leg doesn’t turn up, you might be able to get a blacksmith fabricate one to match using the first as a pattern.
The Fimbulsvetr continues. The overnight - and still falling - snow has recovered the rooftops that were cleared yesterday, blurred out the tyre tracks and footprints, and begun to creep up the wheels of the parked cars.
It's the heaviest I've seen since the Great Winter of '09/10.
Here as well, in Continental WesShire, another helping of The White Stuff overnight - it's again of that wet, heavy kind that sticks to trees and overhead lines, and which looks particularly pretty. As the Meteorological People predict, the coldest days or rather nights of this winter are upon us now, with nighttime temperatures down to -12°C, and daytime still way below freezing.
This may sound strange, but I'm always looking forward to a deep freeze episode each winter, with a couple of days lower than -10°C; I've got the clothes, jackets, shoes and gloves, so let it come.

I truly hope it is sorted soon

At least the legs are arriving, though, albeit incrementally. I didn't like to think of a legless Piglet.
The *Highland Park* sounds like a Good Idea, though.
Mmmm.... roast leg of pork. Sounds good to me.

Now having a tuna-and-onion pizza from the restaurant across the road. Light and becoming.
