  • Heard a starling imitating a parakeet. Or was it a parakeet imitating a starling?

This is worth watching: Chicken farmer scolds a young lynx

The farmer took the lynx out into the forest some distance away from the farm and released it. He let it have the dead chickens.

That was  I couldn't help thinking that when he showed the lynx the, er, battlefield, the lynx was thinking, "Gimme back my dinner, yum yum." Sort of counterproductive.

My thought exactly. Lynx: "Chicken, yum! But the wait staff sucks."
  • My feeling was "If you're going to be a chicken farmer in that part of the world, you need to make sure your chickens are safe from predators or else you just have to suck up occasional losses as an occupational hazard."

In the clip, the guy mentions an owl, which had also taken a couple of his chickens. I'm guessing that he will also have to deal with eagles, bears and cougars.
