I also now recognise that I was sent to the Daily Prayer site, which I had not visited for a while, on the right day for Psalm 35. Getting my mind round the idea that people were spreading lies about King David, and not allowing him to know what the lies were, so that he was pushed down into depression. And seeing that some help is being offered.
I am going to keep on until things get better, though.
Please could I ask your prayers for a young man who has been in the ITU for the past few weeks, with covid and complications and a DNAR order because of his health. The medics have said that this weekend will be critical. He has a partner and 2 small children, and a mother as well. And the hospital he is in is a 2 ½ hr drive away from his home.
Jesu, mercy.
Thanks for prayers. B's mum did not need a triple bypass; she had a stent put into her third artery yesterday and felt better immediately after coming out of surgery. She goes home today. Result!
I took the Telemum to the hospital eye clinic today; her vision is getting worse, not better, with treatment. She was in there for over 90 minutes and she tells me she took her mask off for some of that time. [grimace] Taking your high-filtration mask off in a hospital waiting room is one of the best imaginable opportunities to get COVID - and she's had only one dose of Pfizer, as have I.
Grrrrrrrrr. For what comfort it may be, there's actually a substantial amount of protection after that first dose--depending on how long ago it was. I'm so sorry, though.
Prayers please for K, the husband of Z, someone I know on-line. He collapsed today and was taken to the hospital. His kidneys are failing, he's in sepsis, intubated in a medical coma.
A few weeks ago I asked for prayers for my friend H's friend G, who was about to undergo a 10-hour operation. The operation itself went well, but things don't sound so good now. H isn't a very close friend and the family aren't saying very much - but H and I are concerned for G's future.

For me: Odd visual symptom showed up over the weekend, and hasn't gone away. Checked medical sites. It's the sort of thing that can be minor, or "get thee to thy eye doc NOW". Respected sites strongly advise the latter, so I'll call in the morning. Hope to get in sometime in the next few days. (And then there's pandemic risk... :eyeroll: )
Please pray for the best possible outcome. IMHO, that would be either that it's nothing to worry about and will go away on its own. Next tier down would be that it's easily treated, without surgery. Etc.
Honestly, I'm freaking out. Trying to mellow out a bit. A long nap helped. It will help a lot if the doc can fit me in during the next few days.
I realise my prayer above was ambiguous in part: H is a very close friend of mine, but has only known G fairly recently. We are both very concerned, however, about G.
Dear Shippies, here's an update on A, the elderly friend of my mother's, who was in hospital in October 2020.
I've now heard that the reason for her health hassles appears to be bowel cancer. Aaaargh! She is not in any pain now, and at age 80 plus is wondering if she should go for the chemo suggested by her doctors. She is mulling over it and has an appointment again mid-March.
Prayers appreciated for her health, and decisions, and medics! - Thank you.
Update on me: Have eye doc appointment first thing tomorrow (Tues.) morning. I will also put my GP (general practitioner doc) in the loop, and my neurologist.
I think that the panic attack may not have been that. It was down one side--the same side as my eye. (Yes, I did tell that to the eye doc's office.) I get some "mini seizures" (my term) that are probably connected with migraines, and my docs know that. (Hence having a neurologist.) But they're not usually this strong, and not down one side. I have a multi-purpose med that helps with the mini-seizures and some other things. I take it daily. Took it earlier than usual last night, and it helped.
Anyway, I plan to sleep today, 'cause it helped yesterday. Plus update some medical info for the eye doc.
**Thanks so much for your support, especially when I was freaking out. You made a difference, and you ROCK!**
Prayers for @Golden Key. Hope it is going/has gone well with the eye doc today.
Praying for all that post here, specially those that cannot ask. Can I ask for prayers for my friend K whose wife G died last week? He is sounding OK, but I know they were a very close couple who'd been married a long time.
Please would you pray for the Little Welsh Cousin, C? Having had a vaccination almost 3 weeks ago, I went to help with childcare for the first time in months, but during the afternoon it became clear she wasn't herself. We're sweating on a Covid test now, please pray that this is just the sort of coldy thing that all littlies pick up at nursery and that C recovers quickly
(Second time writing this, due to falling asleep on keyboard and messing it up!)
Eye appointment went well. Tests and dilation. No retinal tears, etc. Visual symptom is due to change in the eye material, but it's something they don't treat--except by surgery in extreme situations. Very nice new doc said it's not likely to get worse, and that I'll grow used to it, and not notice it as much. (Which had already started.) Whew!!!
Didn't hear from either of my other docs about the one-sided seizure (or whatever). Will remind them tomorrow. Did a little research: it can be related to migraines, and can be one-sided. Other than being freaked by the experience and not wanting to go through it again, I've wondered if it might be some kind of stroke. (Not obsessing about that. Seriously.) Probably related to my migraines, or triggered by fear about my eye. But I would like input from my docs.
Anyway, that's about it, for now. Thanks so much for your support, everyone. You made a good difference.

So glad about the lack of tsunami.

My friend's son died this afternoon.
Please pray for his wife, R, and their 2 children, I and Z. And his mum, my friend M.
And what I want to say about covid isn't repeatable in polite company.
