@Golden Key a severe migraine may be indistinguishable from a stroke without scans. I have at least one friend who has been hospitalised because a migraine has been mistaken for a stroke.
For L, a friend of my friend, who has been out of touch for a while, and it turns out to be because her family in South Africa have all caught covid - so for them as well.
Please pray for A, a young woman who has recently accepted the fact that she is a woman and not a man and has gone through the physical changes -- but whose family is totally non-supportive, and she's facing a lot of depression. And for the many, many other people -- male and female -- in similar situations.
Prayers offered.
P. whom I asked prayer for recently, is getting better from his acute brush with Covid and hopes to be released home to the care of a doctor son at the end of the week. Thanks to God and thanks to you for your prayers.
A prayer request for myself, if I may - at very short notice, and without any previous information, I have been informed at one of my schools that they want to cut down my lessons by quite an amount. This seems to be because they want to give these to another teacher - which they can only do in very specific circumstances. In fact, some of the subject lessons we both teach are being cut due to new state rules.
I mean, at least they could have told me before! There's sometimes a bit of bullying or bossing going on at that school. And I'm not very good at that.
So the Telemum continues to be dizzy. Her BP fluctuates, and for the past three weeks the "irregular heartbeat" symbol has come up. About to take her to the doctor for an ECG, please let them immediately spot and fix the problem and also keep us safe from covid in our adventures, thanks.
For L., who's in incredible pain and needs to be cured.
The person K that I asked for prayers for above (husband of Z) has improved a great deal, though he isn't out of the woods yet. Please keep praying.
Meanwhile my 92 year old Aunt H is in the hospital with an infection related to her pacemaker. It's being temporarily removed tomorrow, and she'll be hospitalized for about two weeks while they knock out the infection and then reinstall the pacemaker. Please pray for her, I'm quite worried.
I have a hospital appointment to investigate my health concern, which is a spot inside my upper lip. My dentist suggests it’s a raised gland so I’m hoping it’s nothing sinister. Can’t help being anxious about it though.
Thank you for your upholding.
One of our ancient stalkers, D, showed up outside our home today, making a commotion and insisting to our neighbors that my husband was lying trapped inside the house in need of aid. I don't know if she thought she could get them to break down the door for her, or give her a spare key, or what. I drove up at just that moment (with my husband, who is perfectly fine) and she cleared out. She is obsessed with him, hates me, and ten years ago nearly got our whole family killed running us off the road. I'm very freaked out that she has resurfaced in this way. Pray for protection and wisdom?
Please pray for George, who passed away peacefully last weekend after a brief illness (not covid). He was a member of our choral group. I stood next to him. He retired from the group two years ago, as he began increasingly to "feel the breath of Old Age against his cheek" (quoting from Thornton Wilder's Bridge of San Luis Rey). It was a blessing to know George and to sing with him. An honorable gentleman in every aspect of the term.
