I have asked the artist (my Senior Child) to redo my now overly-pixilated avatar in a larger format. She promises she will comply as soon as her carpal tunnel is better. Until then, I'll just have to be fuzzy on my profile picture.

You don't look fuzzy from a distance.

Doublethink, I'd like to take you up on that, if only to get rid of the inane grinning. I especially don't like posting prayers with this one.

I am what Uncle Pete  called a technopeasant, so could you explain the process please?

    Huia

  • Hey. You surely know how easily old-peoples' brains are confuzed. If someone re-organized my kitchen, it would take me two hours to make a grilled cheese sandwich. All this newness is top notch and worth all the time you hard-working brilliant caretakers of us have spent. (ooof- messy sentence). I'll catch on some day. Carry on! I'll lag behind & try to keep you within sight.

I’m reminded of Raymond Chandler: “From 30 feet away she looked like a lot of class. From 10 feet away she looked like something made up to be seen from 30 feet away.”

    Nothing personal, @Rossweisse.

Go to your profile here (just click on your name) and to the top right will be your avatar (the black and yellow thing). Click where it says "change picture" and select the file you've just saved on your computer. That should do the trick.

doing what AC says, step 1

Yea! it worked. Thank you hosts.
  • Mine is from my 50th. Mercifully, no one can see me dance.
  • My avatar was found for me by a poster on JREF (now IS) the Tech chap who was here yesterday put it on here for me. I hope it isn't too many pixels or bites or something.
  • If it was too big the software wouldn't have accepted it. So, you're good.
