Cancer update: I have already heard back from my oncologist about this morning's CT scan, and the news is good. The mets in my liver are stable at least, and seem to be improved. There are some concerns about a couple of areas in the bones, but it's the liver that would be life-threatening. Thank you for your prayers! Deo gratias!
Please pray for N, an older friend (and great music-lover) who is in hospital with a bad case of covid-19. His wife, S, is being very cautious in her statements about him. Please remember her in your prayers as well. I'm terribly worried about him.
Little Beaky is up and down with fluctuating oxygen levels in his blood- this is not going to change so we all need to adapt again to this new prognosis and enjoy him and love him for as long as we have him.
It is hard for us all not to be able to be together so knowing we have your prayers is lovely.
Can you add J to your prayers? She has found the lockdown difficult. It has led to her feeling cut off from a couple of communities and also problems with her career.
Prayers ascending for all in need, especially for the soul of G., a former colleague of my dad, who has died in his mid-80s of Covid 19, and for his children and their families.
Also for my neighbour, M, who is still recovering from the after-effects of coronavirus, and grieving her husband J, whose funeral is on Friday.
And for my friend K, who, after a botched surgery to remove cancer from her liver, has been recovering from another surgery to remove it completely, and now has to have further tests, as something showed on her CT scan - hoping and praying it's just scar tissue this time.
<votive> For the soul of G., and for those who loved him.
<votive> For fineline's neighbor M, and for the soul of her husband J; for fineline's friend K: May it be just scar tissue this time.
<votive> For Ethne Alba's K.
<votive> For N, still in ICU but responding to treatment for covid-19; his wife, S, told me that yesterday he was lucid for the first time in a long time. May his healing continue.
<votive> Prayers ascending for all in need.
Popping by to ask prayers for my Giraffe of a son who has to decide -again but for the last time - if he will try to get a seat on the final rendition flights from South Africa. He is genuinely torn, but knows that there is no guarantee of when he might otherwise get home. If he decides to risk it and stay I will need prayers too.
