My friend Yudi hit a speedbump on his way out of hospital last week. His wife was all lined up to take over care at home and day before his release asked for one last blood panel and set of x-rays in order that she would have a benchmark. Doctors agreed and found an infection in his liver and multiple spinal fractures which account for his pain levels.
So he's been transferred back to acute care (not ICU) in order to figure out what's up with the infection and to deal with his pain levels.
Two steps forward one step back. This has been his journey. I hate to ask fr more help since the prognosis was so good only two weeks ago but clearly there is more for Yudi to experience in NYU.
Many hugs and thanks

Yudi came to my mind this afternoon; is there any news?
Rossweisse has just gone into hospice. She is at home, and I hope to see her tomorrow. She is in bed all day now. But she is with her kitties, and obviously the Lord. And no doubt flocks of orneries.
Please pray for S (a cousin of a friend) who has had a heartattack and her family. This comes the day after they buried her sister J who died of a post-operation infection. The family must be reeling.
Would you please pray for us to have wisdom and know the right thing to do regarding LL's COVID recovery? I think we may have to spring him from his university and bring him home to feed up on chicken soup and Zoom lessons. He's at 14 days, so no longer contagious, but his fatigue and inability to do the simplest thing is incredible. He's been more or less fasting for two weeks, and there's nobody there to check in on him at all, let alone stand over him and make him eat or drink. I have to call him every couple hours and yowl till he climbs out of bed and drinks something...
