    Two further comments that I would like to add: The chairs were comfortable, but the cushions for kneeling were quite thin – more to protect one’s trousers than one’s knees. And a moment that exemplified the friendliness after mass: as I left the building, another congregant greeted me and we had some conversation. He lit a cigarette and good-naturedly said, ‘They don’t have smoke at Low Mass, so I have to provide it myself!’
