    Glory to God, indeed!

In ten days, I am to see another high-powered neurosurgeon about a cordectomy, a surgery which will (one trusts) snip the obnoxious nerves that are causing the Screaming Meemies in my left leg, and cause them to stop hurting. I hope it works. (This time, I'll be taking my future trustee - who happens to be a partner at a major local law firm - along to take notes. It couldn't hurt.) If not, I'll be back to a wretched choice between too many drugs and too much pain.

@Rossweisse I'm doing metaphorical high kicks in the happy-dance line over your good news, and praying the neurosurgeon has a good option for you.

    Great news!
  • @Rossweisse - good news indeed TBTG!

You are, however, still on the weekly prayer list at Our Place, as I'm sure you are at many Other Places.

I could add the Blessed Orneries to the list, as they too need upholding in prayer, but people would be convinced* that I was bonkers...

    *They wouldn't need much convincing...
  • DormouseDormouse Shipmate
Continuing to hold you in my prayers. May you always feel God close.
  • RossweisseRossweisse Hell Host, 8th Day Host
Thank you all very much indeed.

I am always very happy to be included in the prayer lists at various Our Places. I believe that those prayers really make a difference.*

    * The average survival time for a woman with my rare-but-aggressive variety of breast cancer is 3 1/2 years. I was first diagnosed in November 2010, so we're closing in on ten years. Some of it's the orneries, some of it's the docs and their medications, but I strongly believe that much of it is the prayers, and I am grateful for them.

I misread your post. About a healing needle: (I'm not pricky.)

As George Takei is so fond of saying, "Ohhhh, MY!" LOL.

I just got word of permission to continue my drug!
We'll go into town to get it in time for my first dose tomorow night

Oh, Des gratias! Well done, Our Lady!

( @Nick Tamen, I see what you did there.)

Hope she missed the orneries gathering over Galilit.
  • Orneries, being (as I suppose) a type of Bird, have several patron saints of their own - St Francis, St Gall, St Milburga, and doubtless others...

I daresay they will protect the flock from anything badly aimed by OLotBB...

    Our Lady never misses ...
Complete and utter heresy to imagine it could ever happen
  • Happy Dance for you Galilit.
  • I've been having increasing problems eating. (And yet I'm not losing weight. The medics are pleased with this, but I'm not. Why bother having cancer if you can't slim at the same time?) Anyway, I heard today that I've got an appointment on Friday morning to possibly have a stent put in my throat to ease the problem. A month or more ago I went through the same thing, but my oesophagus wasn't constricted enough then to hold a stent in place. Goodness knows what will happen this time. I'm feeling fed up.

Indeed. I’ve no doubt that Our Lady and the orneries are working in perfect concert.

    Praying for you, @Robert Armin!

    @Robert Armin prayers ascending.
  • @Robert Armin So sorry to hear of your eating problem which appears to be that you are not truly as you feel, being fed up but just the opposite. Prayers for a easy, swift, and comfortable answer to the problem.

  • Back at home with stent fitted. Have to take extra care with food for a few days, while it settles down, but then it should make things easier. Here's hoping.

Many thanks for all the support.
