I just got back from a fan convention that I really loved. While I was there I won three prize baskets in the raffle. Included in the raffle baskets were lottery tickets that I played just now. I won $60!
Supported Mrs RR in her park run today. It was a lovely crisp morning. Mrs RR was 299/328 (second in her age category) and did it in 48 min, a new record!
I walked around a different route after seeing her orf. My (3) metal heart valves seem OK though my HR went up when I came across a couple skinny-dipping in the lake.
We had a leak under our dishwasher. Guy who installed the kitchen was phoned yesterday morning. He came round in the afternoon fixed the problem and called in this morning to check it was still OK. He's coming back tomorrow to replace the skirting board that was damaged in the leak. I'm well impressed.
Many thanks for all your prayers! My daughter has now moved in with her new lady partner A and both seem very happy they've found their 'soul mates'. Certainly, my previously somewhat estranged daughter is now a different person on the phone. She is now much nearer to us and we are meeting up at a nice eatery we can all easily drive too on Saturday. PTL!
There is much still to sort out of course but we have given all this to Our Dear Lord. We pray for love, laughter, caring and sharing. And of course healing.
My scooter (motorized wheelchair) battery has been replaced, so I can actually noodle around decorated neighborhoods rather than ride in a car through them Friday!!
(Once this foot heals I plan to get exercise and lose more weight. Even without my foot injury, my back goes out from walking or even standing too long, which is a very short time.)
P & T that the opticians (or more accurately, the contact lens manufacturers) seem to have got it right this time; their first attempt was really a bit rubbish, but this pair seems to give me almost normal vision, which with my optical history, is almost a miracle. 🙂
