  • That final dirge that was chanted is in Old Church Slavonic and is called Znamenny. It is absolutely beautiful.
  • Most of the singing seemed to be in English, but often heavily accented. Only one of the three presiding Bishops was born in USA. The choir looked to me to be that of the Ukrainian Orthodox Seminary in South Bound Brook, NJ (hence the cassocks). Many of their students come from Ukraine.
