Thanks all, but at least I have plenty to do (not just funerals, but organising the volunteers for the community and learning how to do worship on line etc. ) My prayers are for those who are bored and anxious.
i’m still trying to get out of hospital! I was less than 100% this last couple of days and needed two people to get me up. I was fine the morning and used the hoist without any problems. Lunch wasn’t so good.
Update: breaking news! I’ve just been told Darllenwr can take me home!
Fantastic news @Priscilla. I'm sure being home will get you feeling tickety-boo very soon.
Prayers for all that need them, specially those with coronavirus, and all those that care for them, families and medical staff.
My brother Scott lives in a group home for the mentally handicapped. Today my other brother received a phone call to tell him that one of the other residents has come down with the virus. The group home has gone into total lockdown, the residents aren't even being allowed to leave their rooms, for two weeks. I'm very worried about my brother, and the other residents. Please pray for Scott and the residents of the Creek Road home.
Last year Mad Cat and I both posted asking prayers for G&G. The husband of the couple had recently been diagnosed with cancer.
He died peacefully a couple of weeks back, in the company of his wife and friends.
The funeral is today, with only his widow & the priest able to be there. Please pray for her, for him, and for our choir in which they sing. We're also mourning the loss of our friend, and we can't be there to send him off with a sung service, nor can we be there in person for his wife..
Just heard Mum is deteriorating rapidly, this may be due to a chest infection and she has been prescribed antibiotics in case it is a chest infection and been tested for Covid-19 (unlikely) but this means she is in isolation. I presume that means carers wash their hands going into and out of my mum's room as practically she is confined to bed. Not asking for a miracle but if her time is now that she has a peaceful passing.
