I would happily take your rain as well as my own! It's raining here, AT LAST, but not heavily.
Last night was so warm and muggy that I put two ice packs (the sort you get for keeping food cold) in my bed so that it would be properly cold when I got in. It wasn't enough. I kept waking up too hot and moving the ice packs to a different spot to try to maximise the chill., and it still wasn't enough!
On second pair of trousers as the first got soaked to the knee just nipping to the corner shop. As @Piglet says, stopped now but I wouldn't bet on it staying that way.
However, quite happy to settle down and watch people skelping golf balls round the shaws of north Antrim.
Rainy here in Arkland the Mugsome, with much humidity and general dampness. My Expotition to Tess Coe (unusual for a Saturday, but there were Essentials to be bought) was successful, and, thanks be to Great Lord Cthulhu, I managed to miss the heavy (but welcome) showers which are occurring from time to time...even as I write, one is pouring down.
Having just bought vast quantities of Expensive Paint, I now implore Great Lord Cthulhu (or anygod else who is listening) to abate the Rain, and to give me a chance to apply the aforesaid Paint next week.
Lunch is CHICKEN in a Mushroom Sauce, with New Potatoes, and some Baby Leaf Salad. Some of the Salad (one of Tess Coe's ready-to-eat offerings) simply has to be eaten today, as the Bag will not fit in the fridge, and has to be squashed in order to get the door to shut.
I hope Captain Pyjamas' Poorly Toe is soon better. A nasty experience, even with the Fun of being ferried about in wheelchairs...
I hope Captain Pyjamas is feeling more chipper this morning and that it doesn't disrupt the holidays too much.
The new bookshop was heaving, and long may it remain so.

It was raining here earlier, but seems to have stopped for now; as I have to go out in an hour or so, it's probably limbering up for starting again. ☔
