So as you may or may not know, the Prime Minister is planning to crash the UK economy at 11pm on October 31st, at best leaving the population with food and medicine shortages.
Today, he prorogued Parliament for an exceptionally long percentage of the time between now and October 31st, leaving our elected representatives only a few working days in which they could possibly take any action to stop the executive from inflicting terror on the electorate.
I suspected from the beginning that this was the end goal, and now, here we are.
On a minor detail: the Telemum's leg ulcers got worse in hospital, because they didn't know how to properly dress it. After October 31st I assume we won't be able to get the dressings she needs. Supposedly the ulcers were well on the way to healing, so if they could at least heal before Oct 31, that'd be one less problem for us in particular.
Rossweisse, the American chapel in St Andrews Cathedral was open as I was passing, and so I went in to pray for you.

Quick update Little Beaky improved out of all recognition yesterday afternoon and was able to receive some of his planned treatment. His various consultants have cleared him to return home to be monitored remotely. He will go back into hospital the week after next for surgery.
Telepath, prayers for the Telemum. Legs getting worse in hospital I know about, also the hospital criticising the nurses dressings and vice versa. I know which ones the legs were better under.
And everyone else.
For Ross to stay in that study and have a miracle breakthrough which eventually becomes a major Hollywood movie (but nevertheless actually works).
For Baby Beaky.
The Telemum’s ulcerated leg now smells pungent from down the hall. She has been getting weaker and sicker by the day. She insists she is fine, didn’t feel better for more than a morning after leaving hospital, and the breathlessness is fine and she doesn’t have a sense of smell anyway. She will ask the nurse for a swab tomorrow... then next week to get the results I suppose... no rush.
After all this ... Tiny Toby has been diagnosed with Downs ... on the one hand more challenges but on the other it's information and so the Way Ahead is clearer.
And I am old enough to see Downs people can achieve so much with good specilaist assistance and family support

To be absolutely fair on hospitals and legs, St Thomas' cleared up necrotic ulcers beautifully three years back. It's my local one doesn't. But we're out of area for St Thomas'.

I had the scans today; the results are mixed, but not surprising (to me, the person clinging to this body). I will find out Tuesday about the study. If I'm not accepted, the next stop is hospice.
Praying for @Alex Cockell for @Rossweisse for little Beaky, and for our Conservative MPs, that they would examine their consciences and act accordingly.

I am to have a ScanFest in the morning. I'm pretty sure the chemo isn't working, but I pray that nothing is bad enough to knock me out of the study.
