I'm still having a distressing amount of back pain - and, having absolutely no interest in congesting my brain and digestive system with opioids, thank you very much - I'm once again making do with with a mix of ibuprofen and Tylenol, wine at dinner and, at bedtime, gabapentin. Prayers that said back pains may soon dissipate - because I am really not a masochist - would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

I have learned that my liver mets have shrunk by 30%. Although the pain continues, that is a huge relief. Thank you for your prayers - they do make a difference!
After a wonderful holiday in Cornwall, Little Beaky has suddenly become very unwell and has been admitted to hospital again. Message from his mother just now:
Got here and they put him on oxygen His sats have been good since then, but he’s on 15L which is a lot. They are going to try and reduce to 2L, but if he doesn’t tolerate it, he’ll have to go on the optiflow like last time. He’s got a chest infection, but they need to determine whether it’s bacterial or viral as they don’t want to give him antibiotics if it’s not definitely required. He’s going to have a chest X-ray soon

Our politicians crossed the Rubicon yesterday. The proposed law to allow the government to break the law has, at least, not passed into law. Let that not come to pass, please, Lord. But they've crossed over and taken us with them.
Not looking forward to the food and medicine shortages in January. Many of us will also have the opportunity to enjoy untreated water and power cuts until the end of 2021, by the government's own estimate. I don't know how I or anyone will cope with this.
Thank you for your prayers. I have just heard from Little Beaky's mum. She is very anxious that this admission will be like the three week one back in February because due to Covid only she is allowed in and she can't see little Beaky's little brother.

He spiked a fever in the night and despite the paracetamol, it wasn’t coming down. His heart rate and breathing rates were sky high as his body was trying to bring the fever down. Finally after nurofen and IV fluids it broke. He then slept well despite all the obs checks.
He started coughing again around 6am and struggled a bit. Then I got into bed with him and he gave me a big smile 😊. He then fell back to sleep and is sleeping now
