Prayers appreciated for A, an elderly friend of my late mother's, who is in intensive care right now after urgent surgery for intestinal obstruction. I'm glad they could operate on her so quickly after the onset of her symptoms. The lovely old bird (she is like an aunt to me) is in her 80s, and has always been a role model for me in a number of ways. Also, she is one of the last survivors of my (late) parents' generation.
My friend Yudi hit a speedbump on his way out of hospital last week. His wife was all lined up to take over care at home and day before his release asked for one last blood panel and set of x-rays in order that she would have a benchmark. Doctors agreed and found an infection in his liver and multiple spinal fractures which account for his pain levels.
So he's been transferred back to acute care (not ICU) in order to figure out what's up with the infection and to deal with his pain levels.
Two steps forward one step back. This has been his journey. I hate to ask fr more help since the prognosis was so good only two weeks ago but clearly there is more for Yudi to experience in NYU.
Having heard that the recent death of an acquaintance was by his own hand, I'm praying for everyone affected by suicide. As a premature widow, I thought I could identify with his wife's plight, but I truly can't imagine how I'd have felt if that had been how David died.
May she and her family somehow find God's comfort.
I'm flying up to Wellington in a couple of hours to visit my bro in care (Parkinsons). have just received worrying news about the other brother whom I'm staying with. Would appreciate prayers.
Number One Son ( the beekeeper) has started to call himself an agnostic (rather than an atheist).
A mate at work is asking him a lot about the Hebrew Scriptures (on their long drives between hives) and it's got him asking me to send his Army Bible ...
The parcel has arrived!
(At astronomical international courier rates!)
Continued prayers for his process.

wow amazing news! About your son not the parcel, but that itself is kind of a minor miracle in this day of interrupted supply chains.
My brother's just lost a good deal of his income. Please pray that he should find find some other source asap. He also needs to find a new place to live before the eviction moratorium expires at the end of December. Things look bleak right now.
Please pray for my son LL? He's having trouble getting on top of all his responsibilities at college, particularly with the stress and his OCD. (I'm getting a bit panicky too)
Ongoing prayers for Rossweisse, Robert Armin, Galilit, and idj. Also for all the Beakies.
Thank you and this is remarkably perfect timing as Little Beaky's mother has a big fight on her hands. Little Beaky's respiratory fragility has upped the level of support he receives. However the NHS are now saying that they will not train his two carers in the deep suctioning he requires in an emergency (both his parents are trained) so he can never be left without one of the parents nearby. The NHS want them to get rid of the two carers and have bank nurses come each day which means great for an emergency but no consistency and no understanding of his daily needs for flourishing. Both his carers know how to read him and respond to his body and soul.
Our daughter and husband are now having to fight again for him. They are exhausted.
My prayers from here for all our needs spoken and private
