RIP Moo

Moo’s death has just been confirmed to us, she died on the 20th of January ‘25. Moo made a real contribution to SoF for many years and I, for one, will miss her perspective. May she rest in peace and rise in glory.

    Thank you for letting us know about this. I've been so glad to know Moo on the Ship, and to read her posts, which were always thoughtful and wise--she's been a great blessing. I look forward to seeing her in the resurrection some day.

    I, too, was always pleased to see a post by Moo. A very long time ago, when shipmates were asked to send a gift to a host, I was given Moo as my recipient. She didn't want chocolate but, IIRC, asked for a copy of Unpopular Opinions by D.L. Sayers. I am in the UK, but sourced a copy in the US and the bookseller sent it directly to Moo - most sellers won't do that nowadays, suspecting a scam...

    I liked Moo so much. She was kind, wise, faithful, thoughtful, and had a lovely sense of humour. It was good to read about her life. I hope I'll meet her in the next one.

    I’m sad to learn of this. Moo was (and I’m echoing many others here) so intelligent, so sensible, and her biblical knowledge was extensive. In short, a superb host for Kerygmania. (I co-hosted with her briefly, but Moo really had it well in hand.) She was especially kind to me when my husband died suddenly, as she had had the same experience, and she shared some valuable wisdom with me. May light perpetual shine upon her.

    In the days when the ship was more volatile than today, I felt Moo was a calming presence with a maturity we mostly lacked, myself included.

    I will miss her steadying of the ship.

    I'm not often on board the ship these days, and have been saddened to read the news. I think the post I've quoted very nicely says it for me also.
