My husband has drawn up a pro-forma for any computer issues I have. I have to complete the pro-forma and e-mail it to him. He will then allocate a ticket number to the issue and deal with it.
Do you mean he'll send you a receipt along the lines of 'your enquiry is important to us and has been raised as job number #12345678; please quote this number in all correspondence regarding this matter'. ?
Then you send him a query after a week along the lines of 'what happened to job #12345678?' And after another week you get an email from a different person (OK, that bit could be difficult but perhaps a neighbour enjoys role-play?) saying 'job #12345678 was closed as 'complete' 7 days ago; please raise a new query' ?
(I am going through something like this at the mo regarding something as negligible as a contract, for work which started on Sep 1 Without it I can't get paid, but let's not sweat the small stuff).
I have never had a reliable memory. I use diaries and reminders to the hilt. Alexa has been a boon.
Academically I was useless - no memory and no staying power either. But I'm a quick thinker, very good strategically, adaptable and excellent at lateral thinking. Also a natural with all things tech.
My friend called me to help her husband with a new TomTom SatNav (his car is ancient so no built-in anything). They'd both given up trying to set it up.
When I arrived he gave me the instruction booklet. I said "sorry, it won't help me - I'm hopeless at following instructions". I could tell by his face that he didn't hold out much hope.
I've never seen a TomTom before but I sorted it in a jiffy.
He said "you're brilliant". I'm still glowing 😇
He's a top top top Cambridge Professor.
There really are many different kinds of intelligence. Us neurospicy folk need many reminders of that fact.

Chez Firenze, there's the morning dialogue about coffee
'Want a Nespresso?'
'I'm up and ready for breakfast'
'Coffee's on'.
We then go our separate ways until the evening sequence
'Time to come through'
'The usual glass?'
'Another ice cube?'
'Where did we get this bottle?'
'Food all right?'
Until
'Beddy-byes. Night night".
