I know I am being very ungracious, but she is so disorganised, loses the pieces of music from one rehearsal to the next, does no homework on the bits she is struggling with- and she swoops. ( Ok so that’s me taking a very superior attitude. )

In fairness, swoops in choral singing are a hanging offence.

If you wanted to be kind, you could call it "portamento".

Works in opera and some solos, not in a church choir.

TICTH Rock Those Curves, an online emporium for clothing for generously-proportioned ladies. Their sizing must be designed for generously-proportioned stick-insects; I had ordered my normal size, which was far too small, so I sent it back and reordered the next size (which was nearly two sizes up, and their "largest" size), and it was still way too tight. I could have understood if it had been made in China (Chinese ladies generally being rather smaller than British ones), but the ticket said it was made in the UK.

I am Not A Happy Piglet. :rage:

I feel your pain. I used to know what size clothing I wore. I could buy any brand in that size, and it would fit. I now have sizes medium, large, and X-large in my closet, and they all fit. Thankfully, shoe sizes still seem to be standard.
  • Mrs RR, despite buying so many bras I fear the possibility a 'Bra Event Horizon',has yet to find one which is truly comfortable. All, she says, 'hurt, more or less'.
'I feel your pain', I say.
    'That's better she says'.

I discovered an online bra manufacturer called Boody, and I find them to be very comfortable indeed.

I don't know what shape Mrs RR is (obviously!), but if she's generously proportioned, they might be worth giving a go.

Am quite shocked. ITTWACW. Funny, though.

Help, I can't remember what 'ITTWACW' stands for. Old age, I'm afraid!

I thought this was a Christian website: a comment worthy of a Sydney Anglican (as opposed to an Anglican in Sydney)…
