Update on the tumor biopsy of Scott’s partner Craig: “High grade, aggressive, invasive.” They’ll know more when they hear more from the doctor. Please please please pray.

Update: Highly aggressive bladder cancer. They’re hoping it has not spread. Best approach may be to remove bladder and put in some kind of replacement, if possible. Please keep praying.
Please forgive this very selfish prayer. As shipmates may have gathered from the plethora of my postings, I’ve been pretty well housebound over the last year or so following heart surgery. Recently, things took a bit of a downturn (Oh no, I’m starting to sound like Marvin the paranoid android) and I was again rushed to A&E.
The cardio results were not altogether encouraging (think: ‘We’re heading for the last roundup’ or, ‘Time to say goodbye’ ) so I’m busy ‘decluttering’ and getting rid of loadsa and loadsa books, DVDs, my vinyl collection and (very posh) hi-fi so Mrs RR won’t have to. Local charities and hospices are well pleased.
When all is accomplished and if the Lord spares me we will then be moving to be (a) closer to Mrs RR’s family and (b) part of a viable church community.
Please pray I have the energy to do this and I don’t get too distressed. Also for Mrs RR during the kerfuffle.
There’s nothing selfish, or at least nothing inappropriately selfish, about your request for prayer, @RockyRoger. I’m so sorry you have all of that on you now. Praying for you, your wife and for all here.
“Give us today our daily bread” is right at the heart of the Lord’s Prayer so that we may understand it is not selfish to pray for our own needs to be met. In Matthew’s version it is also emphasised by the fact that it is the only petition not to include parallelism.
Prayers for you and those walking with you @RockyRoger
I have found out more about my church than I know what to do with. Especially about the way the vicar works. Prayers for discernment would be very welcome.

Bless and thank you all of you for your prayers! A nice chap is coming today to sort out the books, The hi-fi will be collected next week, and a dear flying colleague is coming on Friday to rationise the model aircraf. My friend S belongs to a charity which really wants the records, hopefully soon. This is good. Also, miracle of miracles, Fr. M. is coming on Thursday to give home communion (hopefully with confession!).
So all going as well as I could hope for.
I have friends in Hawaii who are in the area that is being hit by extremely extremely bad storms. And flooding and all kinds of things. I can’t believe this is barely in the news in the continental US. Please pray.
Adding my prayers for RR and family, Scott and Craig, the Beakies and Telepath. Also for a resolution for the war in Iran and other places we hear of less frequently.
@RockyRoger, this is what my old Rector, John Stott, has to say about your request for prayer. It's not selfish, it's how God has wired us. I'm sorry that prayer is the only way in which we can share your and your family's burden. 🙏 for your treating clinicians, too.
Bless you all for your prayers! I'm finding 'downsizing' quite fun and not a burden (so far!).
I found and have kept, a few books I thought were lost forever!
Fr. M visited yesterday with home eucharist and good advice.

Prayers for my dear friend S who is in hospital after a suicide attempt at the weekend. She is very dear to me and knowing she is hurting so badly and its something I can't fix is tough.
Prayers to all that need them, specially those that cannot ask.
For Azra, a very small child who is the granddaughter of my friend from high school, Renee—Azra is back in the hospital after eye surgery. Please pray.
