    It's my understanding that Alleluias continue throughout Advent and that it's only during Lent that they're removed from the liturgy.

    Thats certainly true in the RCC.
    Other denominations may have their own way of doing things.

    Miss Amanda stands corrected. Her smelling salts cleared her mind. It would appear that Alleluia is permissible in the Divine Office during Advent.

    It's the Gloria that is omitted during Advent, but not Alleluias.
